PK they have a ceasefire and talks begin, Putin has said he wants to keep all he already has and Trump agreed. Then Trump tiold Ukraine to keep getting support they need to sign the deal giving the USA billions in mineral rights BUT he wouldn't guatrantee their security leaving the door open for Putin in the future.
What kind of a deal is that? |

Water pollution isn't just from agriculture and sewage treatment, there's oil spills, rubbish dumped and even the run off the roads from rain.
How do we produce food too cheaply? We need and should have cheap food, the problem is all the junk food, the UHP food that's causing illnesses. If fresh veg and fruit was cheaper than the UHP foods our health would be better.
If we can't do anything about climate change then why are we wasting billions trying? |

Smeared and slandered eh, funny that because I don't remember him taking anybody to court for this "slander"....did anybody get taken to court?
I don't even remember him denying being a friend of Hamas, I do remember him being interviewed live and being asked to decry the IRA and him refusing.
Now Trump,....Starmer has said there is no choice between the USA or Europe, actually he called it a false choice, he's a bottler. Europe needs to stand with one voice on this. |

FFP doesn't allow them to simply pay off the debt with no scrutiny though. If the debt breaches FFP and they just pay it off there could still be repercussions.

The Dacia Spring is around 15k but the same problems apply. Thing is, I got my car second hand for 8k and accounting for my mileage and the other 7k for the Srping, the costs aren't so different for the 4 years I'll have this car. The big difference is on a cold day I can have the heating on and not worry about the mileage.
Then, why would I buy a second hand Ev knowing that it may only be 24 months away from needing a new battery that costs as much as my seond hand petrol car did?
By the time EV's are the only choice the technology and infratsructure needs to have improved a lot and hopefully by then, I'll have given up driving anyway. I'm almost 58. |

Going to a modern gig is akin to watching a scripted play. Waaay back in the day youd go to see a band and there'd always be a surprise. Specially if it was ACDC, the Rolling Stones, the Jam....many others.
Now it's all choreographed to the nth degree and if AI takes over we may not even be able to tell.
I think investong heavily in AI, putting it in charge of vital infrastructure, it'll be a massive misttake, a Skynet kind of mistake. |

We are not the first and we are not leaders in the technology either. China and the USa are noth ahead of us. There won't be a benefit to the bill payers either, we will continue to get milked via "green tariffs" and highly subsidised bills, our hard earned will continue to flow into rich peoples bank accounts. Look at our bills now, look at where the tech is being put and who benefits.
Just like every other incarnation of corporate "investment", the system is designed to take from the poor and give to the rich. |

There's hardly any chance anyway, even Russia's Oretniks would struggle. ICBM's have their own defence systems, they launch decoys. Then there's the massive number that would be launched, too many would get through even if they went all the way from the USA to Russia.
Lets face it, not that many need to get through. The USa and Russia both have in excess of 5000 nukes. If only 20% got through then it's put your head between your knees and kiss your ass goodbye time. You have got to be destroyed by the explosion, the fallout would be an even worse way to go. |
