Luke Cage was a good viewing, good sound track and not at all what I expected from a 'comic book adaptation'...those aren't really my thing but this series was great!
So what you're saying is, all we can really look forward to, this year, is equalling that record? We actually have to wait until next year to break it? And there was I about to go getting all excited about another record breaking year! *sigh*
Haven't read the article yet but loved KLF and would be pleased to hear them again! The burning of the money was stupid imho but in the grand scheme of things they burnt £1m and got many more £m's in advertising and sales. Spend (burn) a mill' and end up with more (probably).
Music is in a funk though, it's not a good state right now. YouTube, Spotify, the internet in general, has done a lot to kill it. People want instantly gratification now, songs better start with a killer hook or chorus or people will skip onto the next track. Artists, producers and publishes know this, and the more of this shît churned out the more data to analyse and eventually it will be music by numbers.
Left the office at three. Dealt with my last call about 30mins ago, hoping for none more but I'm on call until Monday 0900hrs so fingers crossed it's quiet! Back in the office next week and looking forward to the following long weekend. Merry Fûckin Christmas.
My friend's brother's friend's dad was the keyboard player in Aswad (they did the reggae pop tune Shine in the 90s). I went to school with this kid for a year before I left so don't actually know him anymore, so calling him a friend now is I suppose rather tenuous in itself.
NO - I don't think we would have gone down and I do think we were hasty (to say the least) in firing him. I would have called this a 'challenging' season for him and his report card at the end of the season would probably have said 'must do better' and he'd be warned. And who knows, maybe he would have learned all he needed in this challenging season and we would all have reaped the rewards next season. After all, I thought that was the plan?
But he was fired, and now we have a new manager who is struggling with the team, and they are probably struggling with a new regime too. It's gone rather badly so far but I remain confident that we will not go down, and I will support Holloway the same (or probably a bit more due to his past with us) as I did the last manager.
I see it has Donnie Yen in it, an excellent martial artist. Havent seen him in anything English yet (though did see him have a good fight with Mike Tyson in one of the Ip Man films, which I recommend if you like your kung fu).
Reviews seem good, people say the fans of the original 3 will probably be the bigger fans of this one. Looking forward to it!
You could do a continuity test on each section of the lead - the one with no continuity is the doff one. Perhaps you have a PAT machine to hand? That could analyse the results for you.
Unless you stole it from them on your way out, or some other nefarious strike upon the foundations of that slag pit, then I'm afraid forgiveness is out of the question!
Also, in the second half one of their fûck nuggets belted the ball at Onouha I think after the ref had blown for a free, and Shodipo took such a whack to the face I heard the sound of fist hitting face from my seat! They could very easily have lost more players!
