As usual you completely miss the point. Today’s game is completely different with the money involved. Answer the question how would you get on today in the premier league ? The fact is you’ve been so irrelevant the last 50 odd years and you had to cheat to win something funny how you completely ignore that. Anyone can cheat to win ask Man City

We all know the prem isn’t for your lot 130 you’ve already proven that. Bless ya. At least we’ve given it a good shot over the years finishing top 8 including 6 th 4 years running. I wonder how your lot would get on up there now with all the money involved and without cheating. Not that we’ll find out anytime soon eh ? |

I’m not going because the owners treat us like Shyte. . There is not another club that would put up with our results and still keep their manager. I really hope we get a low crowd for this .
Most Saints fans I know think RM is an arrogant tw@t who needs to be removed. We pay good money to watch football it’s about time this club gave something back in return with getting in good sound owners who want to take us somewhere and not waste money on very poor signings. Ankerson needs to go as he is behind all this.
We’re being taken for mugs . Our best players have consistently been sold nearly every year and in 52 years of watching saints I can count on the fingers of one hand the times I genuinely thought we were going to achieve something. To allow the likes of poxy ,tiny clubs like Bournemouth , Brentford and to a lesser degree Brighton overtake us is disgraceful. [Post edited 16 Nov 6:47]

I’m afraid the likes of Brighton and Bournemouth have owners who seriously want to take their clubs forward Grumps whilst ours aren’t too bothered .
Bournemouth for example spend 40 million pounds on a single player which is way out of our league
We were never going to get O Riley even though it was clear RM wanted him as he’d had him before I think we offered 20 million but he went for much more than that.

When Dibling came on it lifted everyone . It does appear that he has been given more of a free role to have a go and to do what comes naturally to him which is exactly right. We were on the front foot and showed a positive attitude in the latter parts of the second half. |

We all know we lack quality .We have Dibling ,Fernandes ,KWP, Ramsdale who are definitely prem quality and I thought our two centre backs were good yesterday which is not always the case. Downes is not doing as well as I thought he would in this league. Dibling gets bums off seats, the whole atmosphere changed when he came on. He is going to be some star .
The thing that pleased me yesterday was the effort the players gave. Whatever you think of RM the players seem to like him and want to play for him. I personally think he’s too arrogant . I backed him last season but I don’t like the way he just refuses to adapt against better opponents but this isn’t going to change and we will probably be relegated but there is fight in this team just lack of quality. That’s just an opinion and his isn’t worth much.
IMO (which is not worth much ) Ramsdale , Walker -Peters, Fernandes, Dibling, are definitely prem quality
Cornet has already proven himself in the premier league for Burnley and possibly Downes and Aribo could be if used properly , i know many don’t rate Aribo which I don’t get, I think he’s decent.
The worrying thing is THB and Bednarek are just ok and not really great week in week out so our defence is rubbish and so is our attack. We need to get rid of Ankerson he is the main reason for poor recruitment. [Post edited 26 Oct 8:38]

He will be seen as an arrogant fool who refused to adapt to being in a higher league with far better world class players. He will fall on his sword which is entirely of his own making.I have no sympathy for him whatsoever.
Thanks for last season though Russell which was enjoyable.

As I said a while back, I fear RM is just too arrogant to adjust and change his system. Anyone with half a brain knows you can get away with this tippy tappy Shyte in the championship and lower down but it’s suicidal to do It in the premier league because the opposition players are fitter, faster coached better and more switched on .
I was very much in the RM camp and wanted him to succeed but I don’t think he will change his ways so we need to get rid very soon if things don’t improve. I would give it to the end of the Leicester game. |

Tbh I never considered what they thought about us I just knew they were a small local team and I genuinely wanted them to do well because they were never anywhere near our level and never a threat to us. [Post edited 27 Sep 21:57]
