Like we saw under Eyre, playing 4-4-2 is not just a matter of sending players out in that formation, it mean playing with proper wingers. Playing a centre-forward out wide is NOT the same. I was worried ten minutes before kick-off when the team sheet said Bog, Ormerod and Ball. Proper wingers next time please Beech

I think this comment has hit the nail on the head.
The wingers and full backs need to be providing the forwards with better service from wide positions. Dale midfield have been used to breaking up play in recent seasons, then either playing it wide to get the ball into the box or upto COG in wide left channel.
Its obviously been difficult this season with frequent change of forward players under Eyre and no proper tall Centre Forward. Too many times, there has been no-one in the box when a situation has been created.

This season, especially at home, Dale have got into some great positions out wide but the quality of some crosses or lack of people in the box has left a lot to be desired.

It is OUR FUTURE RESULTS at home that will determine that Dale stay up.
Obviously we will need some points from Away games as well.
To date, our Home Form is 18th best in the Division with 2 Wins, 6 Draws, and 4 Defeats ; 13 Goals For, and 17 Against. ONLY 4 HOME DEFEATS in 12 GAMES.
We need to be scoring more goals at home which will hopefully bring more wins instead of draws, to which the performance v Preston was most encouraging with the addition of BOG. We are also missing the goals scored from corners by Craig Dawson

UP THE DALE !!! COME ON - lets get behind Beech and Kidd, especially at Spotland.
