Interesting challenge today and one which will give a good indication of the level we are at.

Personally, I think we'll edge it and the 15/4 for a Dale win with Bet 365 looks good value. I'll be having a small wager on this.

Poll: So who do you believe - Hendo or the Board?

Great post about the poor man management of young Burger, a player who has done really really well for us, especially playing slightly out of position but adding some tenacity to our short handed midfield. " beyond pissed off" sums it up. His confidence surely took a dive. And all this just to keep McNulty's stupid stubborn format going. I hope Burger is a tough cookie.

Where was poor man management mentioned in D’Aliens’s post?

I think Burger, at the minute, is lightweight in defence. Strengths are - in possession, quick thinking and intelligent passes in the opponents half.
In our half against big opposition, he can be abit of a push over being on the small side.

McNulty is playing him there out of necessity though, injuries have forced him to do that. With a fit midfield to choose from Burger plays a more advanced role. He's a player who will only improve i think and he's had to sacrifice his own game for the good of the team lately. There's goals in Burger and i think we'll see him start scoring as the season progresses. We can be critical of the daft goals we are conceding and to not comment wouldn't be right but the manager is missing some very influential players. McNicholas is a big miss and so are Gilmour and TAR.

McNulty will be one of the longest serving managers in the lower leagues and if i had to sum up his tenure up to now i would say that he's exceeded my expectations and proved to be the right man at the right time. Time will tell if he can push on and get us into the play offs, develop his own managerial performances as well as the players. We've had recent managerial appointments that have proved to be a disaster, thankfully McNulty isn't one of them and Simon Gauge in particular deserves credit for that. How everything pans out going forward though we will have to wait and see.

Yes agreed, he's a lively player who puts in the effort and a great team player, just shame we haven't got a player who can play the role of holding midfielder fit to shore up the defense as were looking vulnerable through the middle.
