Have SR already accepted relegation? 09:12 - Aug 12 with 2333 viewssaints__fan__73

Our signings seem to be of a level of a tier 2 club. CB from the Championship, another from L1, striker who has played mainly in the Champ, late 30s out of contract winger, journeyman full back, etc.

It seems that the acceptance is that we will be relegated but be in a better position to go up next season than we were last.

I assume this is all down to the £160m W@nkerson wasted getting us relegated and all the PL cash is going into paying the bills.

Apparently we have no money but wasted how much on altering the layout of the ground that had worked perfectly since its construction.

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

We have spent £70 million on players in this window.

More than most clubs in the Prem.

It’s just that we need to probably spend the same again……

The problem is that most of that went on just securing the players we already had in the Championship so we haven't improved the players on the pitch.

15 signings and we are weaker than last season. That is quite remarkable! Goztepe are looking good though!

I enjoyed the Championship. No VAR, reversion to being a physical contact sport and no top 6 w@nkers

And the White Knight is talking backwards And the Red Queen's off with her head

Their strategy appears to be based on Leicester going down because of points deduction, Ipswich not being good enough and there being perhaps one other team worse than us for the final relegation spot.

Bit risky, but who knows it could just come off I suppose.

Poll: Who is responsible for our current pathetic points total ?

I totally agree and the clamour for a return to the PL is absolutely pointless if the clubs owners will not invest to ensure you stay there
Look at Wolves Brentford West Ham
You have to do it or you are up and down and it’s totally pointless

I would genuinely like to become a yo yo team, the championship is so much better as someone that actually goes to games instead of watching on tv but a season back up keeps the club solvent

totally agree. I also have an ST and fully understand the need for financial security the Premiership and parachute payments engender

Has it been confirmed yet about Leicester? And if so, how many points, there was talk of 7

Their hearing will be held in September apparently.

Ridiculous that it takes so long.

Yep couldn’t agree more. The premier league has become too big for us. Last year was great travelling away by train on the many away trips and thoroughly enjoying the day and result.

Poll: Would you take an Fa Cup win if it meant relegation to the championship ?

Our spending has been limited due to PSR.
You can only lose £105m over a 3-Year-period

We are on a very fine line without going deep into the finance but we are close to that line we have room but selling enables us to be clear of that

Selling = funding available

Mara, Onuachu, Sulemana, Bella-Kotchap need gone ASAP.
Seeing as Aribo is on a mind blowing £70k a week he’s on the list too.
Doubt anyone would match his wages so it’d be a loan.

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

Is PSR just a convenient excuse for SR? Every other PL club seems to be able to find accounting ways to work around the 'rules'.

I think the real reason is they just don't have the cash. They spent £160m on assembling our relegation squad and are still paying the bills now.

I think it was very likely we would have gone into admin last season if not for the Lavia money and things would have been very bad if we had not got promotion.

We’d been selling the Crown Jewels off and replacing with inferior replacements with the occasional gem to sell on again.

It’s when there’s no more Crown Jewels to sell the relegation shit hits the fan.
