Excellent report. We encountered a similar Leicester fan pre kick off who was astonished we had brought up so many fans for a banker home win. I thought the pre match review on the site from the Leicester fan was also pretty arrogant. A great day out - as you say one that we will remember for a long time!

Superb mate - to be a part of that away end was a privilege and I'd take a hangover like this every day of the week to re live yesterday afternoon.

What a football club.

Perfect report. Brilliant!

Loved this "Five minutes of stoppage time added to the end of this game, and six of them were because of his Oscar's acceptance speech down by the corner flag. All glory be to God."

Not sure what you mean though about people getting entrenched in their views about Rejectovic Podcast Chelsea Man. It was obvious that even Tony Roberts would have caught that free kick then instantly thrown the ball upfield for Sinclair to make it 3-0. Obvious, I tell you.

As per the comment I left on the main match report, I've waited 9 years to see the R's in Leicester again and we go and do that. And I have to experience that arrogance every day! Glad for one day we put them in their place, regardless of what happens between now and May.

Thanks Clive. A very enjoyable read on what sounds a top-class performance.

Loved the line "Leicestershire’s premier wedding venue Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall".

Well done to all the fans who travelled and provided such terrific support. So glad they were rewarded with the right result. Hopefully it will boost the team's morale for the closing stages of the season. With everything now so tight at the bottom of the table, we are in for a thrilling finish to the relegation battle. Let's hope we end up on the right side of the line.

Totally laughed out loud at the Jimmy Dunne/Andersen social event line. Brilliant!

Agreed re the ref. Don't care what they do, within reason, as long as they're consistent. And he just...wasn't.

Fortunately it didn't affect the result. Maybe largely because as you say although they had more chances, theirs were speculative long distance efforts or limp in the box, apart from their actual goal which, a) shouldn't have been a free kick and if it was then Chair should have had one earlier and b) if it had have been a free kick then Nelson shouldn't have been on the pitch to score it and c) if he had been on the pitch then Begovic should have done better with the initial shot.

Still happy days. Three points that we weren't necessarily expecting. Roll on West Brom and Boro.

To repeat, and crown the general joy as I delightedly tuck into my colossal slice of humble pie (as I hope other are and will):

1. The squad is now (and/or always was) good enough.
2. The manager is more than good enough.
3. Keep this up, and the Rs are definitely staying up.

Leicester play like they think they're Man City, but we were too organised, tenacious and talented for them all over the park, and should have won 3-1. There isn't/wasn't a 'gulf' between us; it's a bridgeable divide And we were 100% competitive, and deserved the result.

That certainly doesn't mean I'm nerveless ahead of WBA, which I think will be a tricky occasion. Mart needs to set us up a lot better than he did against Rothers, and the players need to step up again. Do both, however, and it's very winnable.

I couldn't join the away support but watched on QPR+.
Very disciplined performance from start to finish. We didn't create.much, unsurpringly with 28% possession, but eere clinical on 2 of 3 occasions when we did.
I also thought the ref gave the home team virtually every 50:50. As you say, he seemed overawed by getting the league leaders in front of a big crowd.

great report as ever

Did Jimmy Dunne get booked at the end, looked like he waved a card at him for a foul which initially was a foul on him but I was delirious by that stage so may well have imagined it

Leicester bless them . Too good for this leauge , probably but a bit like Leeds think they shouldn’t be slumming it at his level . Go ahead and prove it . Let’s hope Ipswich upstage them all. .
Was privileged to be part of the 3001 yesterday . A moving , singing mass of joy, all ages families, pensioners .
Never been prouder to be QPR fan

36 hours later and nothing has been able to put me in a bad mood since. Not sure what it was about that one in particular but what a great feeling.

Big difference is now we have a bit of depth. Think back to early this season when Morgan Fox was first choice and Kakay/Drewe etc were in and around the team.

Southampton H 1996 I think we won 3-0 with no corners, I'd have to go back and check it.

Great report, and captured the game and atmosphere perfectly. I was suffering Sunday with hangover, plus sinusitis. Ouch, but worth it.
Spot on about Jimmy Dunne. A revelation at right back, not to many keyboard managers suggesting he played there a month ago!
Really pleased for him, the attitude and character he has shown is top class. Something a certain other QPR employee (I refuse to call him a player as he never plays) should take note of.

I picked a good day for my first ever train and beers away day.

I've never gone to many away games, but I've either driven or been driven to them and the only train trip out of London I can remember was Forest in October 1986, when I was 16.

Just a superb day out on all levels and I was able to relive the 3-1 at Highbury in 1994 as I was next to the stairs at both matches. My son and our mates wondered where I'd gone after Sinclair's thunderbastard, but then two of them had gone forward a row by the time I got back to them.

Suffering since 1978.

This is just how I've felt about Ipswich fans for the past 50 years!

However, relegation to Division One seems to have taken away their arrogance & I would love it if they stopped one of the relegated clubs getting promoted. Even better if they ended up as champions!

I thought Jimmy was cautioned for time wasting at a throw in, which was why Cook was taking the throw in late in the game.

Come to that, I can't recall Steve being shown the yellow card, but that doesn't mean he wasn't!

Well we thought it was Dunne too at the time but it's gone down as Cook in the stats.

That was Cook on the throw in, I thought he took it as Dunne had already been booked
