They're at it again on 21:09 - Nov 15 by lifelong | Why do parents send their children to Welsh speaking schools? |
Why do you see any questioning of the language as a personal attack. People speak Welsh ,fine . People who don’t or won’t,fine too. Other more important matters out there . I would rather. 100 % non welsh speaking wales witH real prosperity that 100. % welsh speaking but living in la la land . How much longer do we have to see these exchanges

I never cut and paste. Always original me I might have said “ the language” is the most divisive aspect of welsh life. As is evidenced here yet again, The poorest part of Britain arguing about how it communicates within its populace blithely ignoring more vital aspects of life . In many ways,it’s a curse as it distracts from the job in hand. My early years saw this in full technicolour . Nobody in Wales should be refused a job as they can’t speak Welsh. Human Rights mean you should speak what you want. Everyone in Wales can speak English. It’s not 1912

They're at it again on 11:34 - Nov 20 by trampie | Wales isn't the poorest part of Britain, Welsh households median wealth is greater than the north-east of England, Scotland, Yorkshire, the north-west of England, the East Midlands and the West Midlands. That is value of homes minus mortgage debt, possessions including vehicles and net financials (savings or investments minus financial liabilities). [Post edited 20 Nov 2023 11:40]

Of course it’s not . Prosperous isn’t it even with Westminster based government

That's a comforting thought , so people will need to sell all or part of their property to survive , Has Tesco starting to accept bricks as payment for food or perhaps selling a seat from their 20 year old car to pay the electric

Surely those stats are distorted by the low property values in areas of Wales, the valleys in particular. Then you have to consider the percentages of people living in rented accommodation throughout the UK because those would not have net property value and regional variation is substantial.

Watching the very tragic news report of the premature baby in south Wales who died simply because she lived in Wales and the Health Authority was dysfunctional and unable to deal. Moreover, the baby would have lived if born in an English hospital. Coroner report is damning indeed.

Predictable from you . Shame on you . Look in the mirror and think, man. I read constantly about how Wales is some sort of nirvana when the truth is anything but . This baby died when it was avoidable . It was a case of place of birth effectively allowing her to die. That is shame

The other way round, London and the South's figures are boosted by high property values.

The point I was / am making is this . This tragedy was reported by a Welsh journalist this lunchtime about a baby who and I quote” would have survived had it been born in England” Now whether some see as unpleasant is not relevant, what is ,is the fact welsh baby care or lack of it has led to this . If people with an alternative agenda want to use this to attack a poster they don’t like then that is something for them to contemplate And contemplate they should when ITV Wales gestures this sad event from Pontypridd coroners court tonight .
