Who could replace Piroe? 14:27 - Aug 23 with 4558 viewsRhonddaSwans

Have we already got the answer or do we need to go into the market?

I would sign 2 strikers
Keifer Moore being the first (1.So Cardiff don't get him , 2. That will be the best Goal v Caardiff ever

Devante Cole, I like the guy Duff knows him, Would be nice to have Andy down at the Swansea.com aswell.

Any better options?

Few shouts for Van Hooijdonk as a replacement, good shout that.

With Piroe going and let's say Wood going for 10M, we would have seen since January an income of around 30M.
With spend being around 5M appx.
Coupled with the investment.

There will be a lot of pressure and expectation for the club to spend on much needed players in the next week and I think a marquee signing like Hoijdonk might be needed. We need to be smart about it also but I don't think it's unrealistic to see around 5/6M minimum spent in the next week if Piroe and Wood ate to depart.

This Piroe money should alone change the landscape of the remaining of our window and we need to make sure it counts taking into consideration the goals, assists and wages lost with Piroe, Ntcham and Manning.
That's a lot of goals, assists and money with us only brought in some loans and 2 guys from Blackpools relegation last season, 2 guys from the Scottish league and a young kid from Scotland.

That's not me being negative just highlighting the truth here.

A big week coming up for us and mainly the board after all their words since May.........over to you the board.

I think we will sign another 2 or 3 players depending whether or not Wood goes.

We bought Yates 2.5m Mychylo depending who you believe 500k to 2m Tijoe 700k Ginnely free Key 500k approx.
Plus the loans of Ashby Rushmore and Pattino how much would them 3 have cost.

But I think the 5 million you quote is a bit low.
You have to add on signing on fees plus the new contract for Grimes

The 30 million if Wood goes maybe a lower figure.

Piroe 12m
Obafemi 4m
Nicham 2m
Wood 10m but with a 35% sell on clause to Boro closer to 6.5m
Latti 500k
Whitaker 1m

So maybe 26m approx yes it's a good profit much needed but with 12m losses last season much needed income.

Lawrence Shankland? Hearts.
He is mates with Ginneley they had a good partnership last year.

Lads I know Jerry is showing good signs early on, If he gets and injury.

I would like a like for like replacement.

Whipers of Djed Spence earlier 😲 Can key play CB?
Van Hooijdonk if he has a Shadow on SR could be a fantastic like for like.
Joel has had his head turned good luck to him.
Aslong as we have some if that money put into the squad Im happy.

Bet he will score 3 against us though 😡

We lost £13 million in the last accounts, and I would imagine our wage bill will increase this season.

Its not cheap running a Championship club

Nothing for the owners then.

Here is a left field option,Free agent but a risk. There is no place like Swansea for a talented player who is looking to get on the right track.

I give you......Alfredo Morelos.

A massive attracter of the red card is Morelos, 8 and counting in a Rangers shirt. an absolute liability, there's no berth for a player like him here surely.

Likely right.

Just looking at past players who have stuttered in their careers who have come down here, found the detachment and calm favourable.
Some might be to far gone and he might be one.....but there again!

The risk would be that he comes with an attitude and as said, he has a red card in him.
