He's been unpopular with the Pompey Boo Boys for a long time. They call him the PE Teacher. The concern for us is that his managerial career is similar to Nathan Jones', only he has been slightly more successful, winning League Two, whereas Jones' only success was finishing runners-up to Accrington Stanley. Both of them did well at small clubs - Cowley at Lincoln and Jones at Luton - but failed at bigger clubs - Cowley at Huddersfield, Jones at Stoke. [Post edited 18 Dec 2022 19:35]

Oh I’m under no illusions that we have got Jones to get us back up from the Championship next season. Though getting Dyche would have made more sense for this very reason. | |
