Dan, seriously how old are you, there was no doubt whatsoever Sweden were far the better in the first half hour, and could and should have scored 3.
Goals change games, and that first one did, and then England were far superior 2nd half.

As someone with granddaughters I hope they win it and give ladies football a boost. I remember England winning the world cup and the boost it gave football, even here in Wales, it started the turn here from rugby to football. |

Maybe, so just don’t compare the two like you wouldn’t in athletics, tennis etc.
My main beef was that the quality wasn’t that good up until recently. However, I’ve been really impressed with the standard in this competition as a whole and clearly the coaching is first class.

I have watched a few games and my opinion is, the quality is not as high as the men, YET! The pace of the game is slower too but the games are more enjoyable because the women aren't wimps divng at every contact and rolling around screaming they're hurt, they get up and get on. They also don't surround the ref moaning at every decision.
The games are more enjoyable for those small things. Its simpler, more honest and more fun. | |
