When Facebook first got up and running, Mrs Boston thought it would be a great thing for me and created my own page....which I’ve never used / posted / or even clicked on for that matter. It’s out there somewhere. Now, let me tell you about the aliens who walk among us....
I'm a non Facebooker too. This one is from 1965 v Peterborough. Apparently we're scoring a header through John Collins. Looks like Posh are scoring though. Must've been a great view from the Estate. Unobstructed! That's be a gold seat these days. Anyone ever watch a game from there?
Edit: Another from 1968 not long before the stand was built (maybe v Bolton).

Oh well, nothing changes. Still letting the opposition in to deny us a clean sheet at Loftus Road.

Rodney, ever the Show Pony. The only one without a shovel.
I think that's Bobby Keetch. A character I'd love to know more about. Geezer/ entrepreneur who would rather go to antique fairs and art galleries than down the casino. Something of the swinging 60s about him. Close mates with Terry Venables. Passed away in 96.

You're absolutely right.
A shame: the joke doesn't work as well with "Bobby Keetch, ever the Show Pony..."

We often saw an opposition forward laying on the ground nowhere near the ball. Mainly when Rangers were on the attack! We just assumed that Mr. Keetch had introduced himself!
Bobby was one of the founders of Football Football in the Haymarket(?) & was often to be found there. It didn't survive long after his death.

My Dad used to stand there BEFORE they even got round to putting in that new fangled terracing malarkey!
He told me there used to be one toilet, in the corner, where Loft meets Ellerslie now.
It was gents only of course. He and my Mum went on a 'date' to a match (My Mum was already a fan as her Dad had taken her from when she was little). During the game my Mum wanted to 'visit the ladies', my Dad told her she would just have to keep her legs crossed!

Bobby Keetch once scored a goal at Loftus Road with the back of his head... an OG caused by a clearance from Mike Kelly which knocked him unconcious and, IIRC, it was an FAC game at home to CFC and we lost 4-0 :-( The worrying thing about this post is that most of the time I can't remember where I left my glasses 10 minutes ago.
