We had a black and white telly until 1982, and used to go next door to Joan and Charles on a Wednesday to watch Grizzly Adams in colour, have a glass of pop and a Milky Bar. Good times. RIP Grizzly Adams.

It was on Irish TV about '78 or '79 when I was 8 or 9. I was hooked.
I was into punk and two-tone but I secretly loved the theme song. And Mad Jack, too. We christened our Grandad's donkey 'No. 7'. When my brother and I would explore the sprawling wilderness of Grandad's 32-acre farm we'd take 'No. 7' with us to carry our rucksacks and pretend we were frontiersmen out in wild Utah. Sometimes we'd set off in the morning and we'd be so lost in the wilderness that we'd barely make it back for breakfast.
