So obvious Redknapp brought him on just in case we got a free kick around the box, with no thought to shape or tactics!
exactly what i thought, Harold thought it was the dallas cowboys vs green bay packers and brought on this anita harris beauty spot cravat wearing NFL place kicker .
after 4o years in the game.thats his answer." bring on the boy niko in case we get a free kick bondy". Mindblowing.
both should be in the MLS. both have no place in the modern game at this level.
if not harold can do a jack the ripper style tour of the east end.....showcasing important seats of learning and landmarks where he honed his embrynoic talents and grew from a boy to a man........kens cafe. cassatris, east ham granada bingo hall, barking road motors, the hammers public house, high street north etc etc.
I think that he was shattered as he had been on for all of 10 minutes or so... Really poor from him, looked like he couldn't care less. Just stood there and watched the guy bang in the rebound.
Glad I have found a few more people who think this guy is just a waste of space. I might be a bit old fashioned in how I like to see a team set up, 4-4-2 with wingers getting the ball into the boxer for Chaz to fire into the back of the net. However what does Niko do other than the odd little trick that turns him back towards his own goal slowing down the attack, not that it was ever going at any real speed when it was him leading it. He must be the only out field player to run less than a goalie would in a game, the guys effort levels are a disgrace. The fact that we had him last year and could see how very average he was in the championship must have got a few alarm bells ringing, when we resigned him this year, I thought it was a joke at first.
Then again we wouldn't be QPR if we didn't make life hard for ourselves at every opportunity.
Too lazy, that's why he ran back 50 yards to defend. If he couldn't be bothered he would have still been on the edge of the other penalty area. Looked to me like Niko and Nedum was wrong-footed when Green pushed the ball right back to Taylor. I like Niko, one of the few players in our team who can pass a ball straight.

Henry can clearly be seen putting the ball into the box and then sprinting back when united counter
@Gobbles, jogged back, then stands there. Unbelievable.
But hey, he's a fans favourite so thats ok
not to worry marc, handmaiden 'only here for the niko' will have a collage made of fine whale bone taken from beau brumels waist coat and chicken wings to apportion the blame to mark chapman or jack ruby.

Jogged back? He was near the referee when that ball was cleared so ran about 60 yards in about 9 seconds getting back to challenge. But, hey, people like a scapegoat, so that's OK.
I try to find a balanced view rather than a straight rant and have watched the video above a few times in an attempt to do that, but when the ball came back out even though Ned was nearer Wilson and did not do enough to push Wilson wider, Niko should have been already passing Ned and accelerating towards Wilson in an attempt to push him wide or panic into a missed shot. However, he was stood to attention, feet together, spectating. No point run/jogging back just to be there to get a better view of the guy scoring against you.
I am sure it is Niko that Green was screaming at after it went in, so I don't think there is any defense of Niko in this instance.

Guilty m'lud.
It was a poor effort after he'd got there, but I am just getting tired of constant threads slagging off players with phrases like "unforgivable" "waste of space" "never play again", when players make a mistake or do something wrong. That's the QPR way, it seems. Remember Jason Puncheon. Came on loan, played 2 minutes as a substitute against Newcastle, then his next substitute appearance a few weeks later, he is booed onto the pitch. After that he was never seen again - not good enough or a big enough name for big bollocks QPR. Looks a good player now. How many on here would now rather we stuck with him rather than signed SWP?

You conveniently omit the fact he didn't make a challenge though. Look at the clip again, if you can show the bit where he made the challenge I'll pay for your season ticket in the Championship next season. Niko blows hot and cold too often. He only looks good when he comes on when we're winning. I have underwhelmed by him these past two seasons and his best days are certainly in the past. That's why he's at QPR.
The defenders did the right thing pushing up to get the numbers upfront to help out with getting an equaliser. If you're going to lose 1-0, losing 2-0 doesn't make that much difference, although I'd rather we hadn't have lost by 2. The Liverpool games was worse because we turned a draw into a defeat (although I applaad trying to get the win, just that the free kick was pants) rather than Saturday which was a defeat into a defeat.
Niko did the right thing by running 50 yards but just stood there. Made no attempt to be alert to or deal with a potential save by Green. If he'd got stuck in it might just have been enough to put Wilson off. I think it was the body language that has angered most people. It had an air of "well, we're losing anyway so what's the point in trying".

That's my take on it too.
Besides which, the ref passed him out. Not good.

Pisses me off every time I see him do well for Palace.

it comes down to coaching , motivation , infrastructure, Man Management
No way is Puncheon a better player than Hoilett That Damian Delany is a better CB than steven Caulker scott Arfield is just as good as Matt Phillips No way is George Boyd better than Vargas
managers like Dyche, Pullis , even Pardew are slaves to their clubs and are out there making things different our way of trying to improve things is to sign the boy Defoe or crouch
we don't coach our players properly , its a joke we have Bondy and Jordan going through the motions, Hoddle is P/T FFS that's not good enough at PL level the players see HR and chums not caring, p*ssing off to Sandbanks to play golf after an FA cup Defeat , if they see that why should they give a monkeys, if your boss couldn't give a stuff 90% of most work forces wouldn't either the players see it as an easy ride being at our place, good wages, minimal work, minimal effort
And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles
