Aye it probably was in fairness, shame that he deserved a clap, he played more than his part, when he was here I used to enjoy watching him and he scored some important goals for us.
There are many ex players who return to the club, we are a generation and a world away from when Raynor was playing or us. He was there to coach and nothing else and he was not announced. The majority of the crowd as mentioned didn't have a clue who he was.
It felt like he was coaching an under 11's team with the instructions he was barking during the whole match to his team.

Very proud to be voted Planet Swans Poster of the Year 2017 by my fellow posters. Especially on a site that nearly had 20 million impressions last year.
Flicker "won" the penalty for us against Panathinaikos at the Vetch with an outrageous dive!!
Nice interview by SoS with Raynor. He mentions the Panathinaikos matches and said that he scored in the away leg?? I was there and thought John Salako got them both??
I was fairly young back then so don't recall much other than the 'tashe and some goals.
However I do vividly recall my old man pulling his own hair out at PR's tendency to throw his head back when taking a shot, a technique that would generally end up with the ball going over the east stand...
Anyone know why they put the Panathinaikos fans in the East Upper that night? I was there but just assumed it was because of what happened in Glyfada.Great atmosphere that night made sweeter for seeing those idiots from up the road arrive on the West Terrace only to be volleyed back out with their tails between their legs.
