| Your Report | Queens Park Rangers v Sunderland Your Report added at 13:00:46 Good game, I enjoyed it. Not what I had expected, especially when It saw the team sheet. Very good performance from the team, made Sunderland look pretty ordinary. Varane and Morgan stood out, although the latter tired in the latter stages. Hey, he is only 18 and it was his full debut. Madsen and Celar were both much improved and Field did a good steady job in the JCS role. We all really thought Jan had broken his duck with a great shot, that we were right behind and looked in all the way but somehow went the wrong side of the post. After the red card, Sunderland, as most teams would, pretty much parked the bus and hung on to what they had. We just lacked the ability and luck to get that one goal we needed. We now need to dust ourselves down as we have to go again on Tuesday. Squad seems threadbare at the moment with all the injuries. Even Walsh was missing from the bench and we only used three subs, which was disappointing and could be an error by Marti with the next game in mind. I was thinking Lloyd for Celar and Bennie, who did well when he came on at Burnley, or Aoraha for Morgan. I also would have removed Chair, left Madsen on and put Seito on the left not the right where he initially went. Still Marti knows his players better than me. Keep wearing that hat and if you've got any old badges you can stick on it, you can upgrade it and it might help us to make that elusive next step. |
| Your Report | Queens Park Rangers v Millwall Your Report added at 09:36:10 We started off very nervous and disjointed Cannon and Clarke Salter with several errors. Millwall very physical and pressing high. A poor match in the opening 30 minutes or so until we scored. Fans starting to get on their backs, too. Willock put a good ball into far post and Chair bundled it in. At half time, we looked slightly the better of two poor teams. Second half we continued to threaten and Millwall looked a very poor side. Then in the last twenty minutes we started to run out of steam and Millwall sensed they might snatch something. The game flowed from one end to the other. We managed to scramble one of the line and then we added a second. Colback shot and keeper couldn't hold it and Armstrong scrambled in the rebound. MOM for me, Colback. Quality passing, worked hard, tackled well, stayed calm and out of trouble. Rewarded with an assist. Dykes played well in the attacking midfield role, showed skill levels I didn't think he had a few times. Clarke Salter, after a dodgy start was brilliant at stopping attacks. Cooke was a leader. Willock played well untill he tired. Good performance all round but mustn't get carried away as Millwall were rubbish. |
| Your Report | Queens Park Rangers v Swansea City Your Report added at 10:06:51 A frustrating evening spent trying to get to through the proverbial front door but falling into the garden hedge and running into the garden gate. Eventually, a tiring Chair decided to stop hanging around the lampposts and put a decent ball into the garden while Bruce the Jock brilliantly threw himself forward over the hedge and put a diving header through the letterbox. PS I've spent too much time reading Clive's reports. |
| Your Report | Queens Park Rangers v Watford Your Report added at 09:26:53 I thought that Field and Drewe were outstanding. Everyone else did their jobs well. I was a bit concerned when Lyndon was taken off to rest him, hopefully, for Tuesday but we came through relatively easily. I hope that we will have the legs and stamina to go again on Tuesday, another one or two returning would be a help and Stef should be fit enough to start. |
| Your Report | AFC Bournemouth v Queens Park Rangers Your Report added at 09:55:44 A mistake, a combination of poor finishing, a good and sometimes lucky keeper and a very cynical opposition aided by a referee, who started well and got progressively worse. (as per the norm for him) He had lost control by the end. Haven't seen any replays or read any comments but Willock seemed to aggressively go after an opponent and swing out with his foot. If I am correct in what I think I saw, he is lucky to only get a yellow and not a three match ban. |
| Your Report | Stoke City v Queens Park Rangers Your Report added at 16:42:09 A great finish by Austin to some good work and another assist for Dykes. The game then turned in the 70th minute when we almost conceded an equaliser only to put together some passes and create a wonderful team goal, eventually finished by Kakay. Deserved it though, overall the better team and injury ravaged Stoke, at times, looked very poor with hopeless corners and misplaced passes into touch. |

| Your Report | Queens Park Rangers v Sheffield Wednesday Your Report added at 10:12:14 They have some good players and were much better than either the scoreline or their season suggested. Bannon is so difficult to pick up (mark). Can't believe he has signed a new contract to, barring a complete set of results, play in league one. How many of the others will stay? We did well in the end to keep playing our way and 'get our rewards'. |
| Your Report | Queens Park Rangers v Coventry City Your Report added at 09:56:10 Very good performance. Players rested after the break and well drilled. Defence looked pressured under set pieces but survived intact. Concerned about De Wijs absence, we missed him on those corners and free kicks. We now have to see if we have enough in the legs to keep that high energy, free flowing football going. Very pleasing today. |
| Your Report | Reading v Queens Park Rangers Your Report added at 11:17:18 Played pretty well apart from the first 5 mins and the 10/15 after they scored. Subs very good today, changed the game and with a better finishing and a bit more luck would have won the match. Another MOM from Dykes imho. I can't remember him playing a poor pass or losing a header. |
| Your Report | Queens Park Rangers v Barnsley Your Report added at 09:48:25 Very impressive in their spirit and commitment and very good in their 'style'* of play. They must have played more volleyed balls forward from their own half than I have ever seen a team play. Lots of head tennis thrown in as well. Did the ball ever touch the floor in their half in the second 45 minutes? Great substitutions. Change all the forwards and keep the press from the front going for the entire game. Then quick to nullify our change to drop Charlie deeper by bringing on a marker. Each substitute seemed taller than the one he replaced. We didn't have an answer though. Kept plugging away but couldn't get that second goal that might have taken them out of their comfort zone. We hadn't helped our cause either by giving away the free kick on the edge of the area, just after we had equalised. Questions too about the first goal and for once Seny couldn't get win his one on one t keep us in the game. * reminded me of playground football, everybody crowd around the ball and kick it upfield at every opportunity. |
| Your Report | Queens Park Rangers v Brentford Your Report added at 11:22:53 Great result, all said elsewhere. Well done to Mr Ward. Consistent to both teams, gave Ball and Toney lots of chances, all big decisions seemed correct and kept the lid on the feistiness. A bit bizarre when he booked Dieng but I suppose he had to make a point and it would only have mattered if Seny had managed to get another in the remaining minutes. Might have carded Toney a little earlier. Other than that all cards were about right. |
| Your Report | Cardiff City v Queens Park Rangers Your Report added at 11:36:53 Superb from Dieng, almost a 10. Dickie very good as usual. Dykes great effort and denied the goal he needs and deserved for being strong. A 'safe' decision in refereeing terms. Ditto Austin, his foot wasn't very high, the defender dived down to knee level. If his foot had been really high then it should have been a yellow. Also, a clear handball by Morrison in the early stages. So much as Dieng made great saves, it was a deserved three points. Bonne looks transformed at the moment, seems to run into intelligent positions and his passing is good as well. A good cameo from Kakay as well. |
| Your Report | Luton Town v Queens Park Rangers Your Report added at 11:45:58 Standard of overall play very good on a difficult pitch. Charlie gave everyone a lift and both goals were very well taken. Dickie was excellent, seems to be getting better and better. |
| Your Report | AFC Bournemouth v Queens Park Rangers Your Report added at 10:11:02 Good pressing put Bournemouth off their game. Unfortunately, we couldn't take the chances that we created in the first half. Second half we tired but fought a solid rear guard performance with the Cherries not getting a shot on target in the whole game. Well deserved point. |
| Your Report | Oldham Athletic v Salford City Your Report added at 12:47:00 Cameron edged MOM for me but after he was booked, I was very worried he might get a second yellow! Ball, Eze, Bright and Hugill also candidates and the rest of the team (and Chair) were all solid 7s on my marking. |
