I’d be very pleasantly surprised if we sell the upper tier, other than the 1st time we played them at their new ground, can’t ever remember selling 3000 there. Think we got tickets for a tenner or something due to them not giving us the full allocation for the last game at Main Road. ( I wonder if Everton will pull a similar trick)

We did sell a few for our 1st game back in the premier league but did not sell out.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen UTS1885 have anything positive to say about the club.

The positives today

Not so sure we would win the championship next season as Everton look determined to come down with us - and if they did I can see them walking the league.

I think it’s obvious we are going to go straight back down, Derby got 11 points and I honestly believe we may struggle to beat that.

We can’t keep a clean sheet and we don’t score enough to make up for it.

Still im determined to enjoy this season as much as possible.

We didn’t lose today and i thought we played ok.

What was congestion like yesterday ?
at 17:02 17 Sep 2024

Exactly.

It seams some of our fans want the new layout , improvements, fanzones to fail.

Northam end is shit - well it was always shit when we are losing 3-0 at home.

The footbridge is congested - its been congested ever since the ground was open.

Fanzone has shit beer, prices are too high - fazones are not every ones cup of tea ( or pint of beer) if you don’t like it don’t go . I’ve not been because they don’t appeal to me but I’ve not going to slag them off or those that want to use them. As for those that moan about them being too busy - so are a lot of pubs .

Away fans are going to mix with home fans - well they always did .

Like you say it’s nothing new.

Yes went to this game.

Was in the pub in the lanes when news came through of the events in America.

After a bit of uncertainty the game went ahead but I seem to remember it had a strange atmosphere, understandably.

Have to agree Nick , I take any reports of what players are on with a pinch of salt.

Away Ticket Allocation
at 14:49 10 Sep 2024

As others have said this has been going on for a number of seasons now .

It’s worth checking the website regularly as just like home games all of a sudden seats will become available.

The last 6 months or so it seems the number of tickets held back for both away and home games are now far greater than they were .

We’ve not put all the blocks on sale yet .

Still looks a decent enough turn out for what could be Everton’s last cup game at Goodison Park .

Will Sport Republic Buy vacant Land Alongside St Mary’s Stadium ?
at 18:47 9 Sep 2024

Why would they need to buy land for any expansion ? The Chapel end has a large car park behind it so could easily do what Newcastle did and build over it .

Anyway I thought that any expansion would involve building and extra tier on the Kinsgland Stand , on the land they already own . Think I read this would add around 5000 extra seats but like everything now days this would be very expensive.

Let’s sell out every game this season , even when we are bottom of the league to see if there is the demand to have 5000 extra Saints fans week in week out .

Does anyone actually think he’ll play again ?

This has to be our worst transfer signing ever , considering we had just got relegated at the time and hardly had a pit to piss in yet somehow the club thought spunking £10 million on him was a wise move .

No wonder our transfer business over the last few seasons has been poor.

Exactly this , why the fvck he thought he’d get away with it in the premier league when he knew he wouldn’t in the championship is beyond me.

I totally agree , I know some one that buys a ticket for every away game and doesn’t even bother to sell them if they can’t go.

Soon our away tickets will also be digital so that will fvck up some fans who do this.

Ramsdale on his way!
at 18:44 29 Aug 2024

Wonder what the delay / hold up is ?

Last night and this morning it was widely reported that the fee was agreed and he was having his medical today.

Assume if the fee was agreed we’d also agree the deal with Aaron himself .

Hoping I’m wrong but I’ve got a bit of nerves around this now.

Cardiff Game Matchday Thread

However much we moan and were disappointed with our 2 result so far the bottom line is last season those 2 performances were probably good enough to get a least 4 points .

The teams problem ( and Martin’s) is we no longer get that little bit of time on the ball and one slight lack of concentration and the opposition will pounce on it .

What tactics may have worked last season may not this.

We will play players that have not played much but we still need ( and should) win .

Same old, same old.

As someone else pointed out both defeats this season are down to Martin and the way he wants to play.

Asking McCarthy to play out the back is only going to end one way, as we saw against 10 men Newcastle .

Playing with your strikers out wide with no central striker will only end one way as peroved again on Saturday.

If we lose to Brentford Saturday ( and there a good chance we will) then we could be 0 points from 4 games seeing we have Man Utd home the game after. That’s going to put Martin and the team under great pressure against Ipswich in our 5th game.
