In THEORY doesn't matter where the ball is, as long as in play obvs, but in practice very rarely given.

Qpr v Burnley...match thread. on 15:32 - Dec 11 by DejR_vu | We had a manager who was just about the best fit we could have hoped for. Played good football, developed players, actually sold one for decent money on his watch. He had a bad patch and pulled it round. He had another one and wasn't given the chance to put it right, apparently because he wasn't communicating with the Youth Development Team that haven't produced a decent player in 9+ years (those sold were all signed post academy age). Here's a radical idea, how about the DoF actually managing the situation FFS? Hired a Billy-Big-Bollocks instead who, in his own ego, was too good for a load of jobs before the QPR one came up, which, as it turns out, wasn't good enough for him either. This is QPR, we don't need to go looking for trouble FFS, particularly under this idiotic regime. |

Qpr v Burnley...match thread. on 14:37 - Dec 11 by Damo1962 | The Unholy Trinity of Burnley,Blackburn and Preston. I doubt we have beaten them more than half a dozen times in my 45 years supporting QPR. When is our next "winnable" match? |
I know how you feel as one win in 14 against Burnley now. It doesn't seem that long ago we were beating them 7-0 at home and 3-0 away. This century has been a nightmare for results against the three clubs you mention but then you can throw in Brentford, Fulham, West Brom, Huddersfield and many others who seem to beat us regularly even when they are not in good form. As with the England game, the ref helped us to be one down instead of one up but I still think Burnley would have won even if we had scored first as we don’t score in front of the Loft in second halves. A weakness of ours of yet again conceding right on half time killed off any false hope we could get back into it. Dunne was at fault with the third but Dieng just as culpable for half hearted challenge and did he even call out for Dunne to clear it? Personally I never see it getting any better while we are hamstrung by ffp and being skint. We are a dumping ground for unwanted crocks offloaded by other clubs as we can't afford quality. Now Willock has lost his mojo we look like we won't score again. Oh well Preston next perhaps another 5-0 loss there like a previous dark period for this club.

Spot on. It could get very messy from now on, as even with a couple of returnees, we still seem too lighweight. Couple of hard, nasty bastards needed in January, FFP or not.

Agree, tippy tappy academy boys need to be supported with some steel and grit. Even Field is far too nice for his own good. Desperately need a leader of men out there as we look like little boys lost.

That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

Indeedy. Seriously though, is it starting to affect the players...as it is bizzare ? I have never known it to happen before. Home form is going to be crucial now till the end of the season,to hopefully keep us out of trouble. Have you warmed up yet? 😉

Qpr v Burnley...match thread. on 16:19 - Dec 11 with 1584 views | daveB | A lot of blame with the players today, Beale going is just an excuse you are allowed to put a tackle in and when you get the ball pass to a team mate rather than the opposition. 4 weeks off should have come out desperate to do well but were awful until Shodipo came on and even then we onlt had a 10/15 minute spell where we looked competitive. The next manager has a big job on his hands Today was the first time in my adult life that I had a ticket for QPR but couldn't be arsed with it and stayed at home, more to do with depression over last night than QPR but we're not in a very good place after such a promising start

The run of five games we have including this one, up till Sheffield Utd on January 2nd, looks very tough indeed and something we could have done without with the team and club in the shape they’re in at the moment. Burnley, followed by Preston (A), Cardiff (A), Luton (H), Sheffield (H). Difficult to see more than three points out of those five at best. By the end of that we could be in real trouble and personally I would now like to see a manager with the “up and at em” attitude of an Ainsworth take over asap, in an attempt to halt the slide down the table.

Yep, it was, but, like I say, he managed to turn it around once, so I think given that, and everything else, he deserved a chance to go again. And let's not forget there were significant mitigating circumstances. Losing Dieng and a firing Willock at the same time would hurt any team (although I appreciate there are those that dismiss that because we had already started the bad run before they were injured). I cant think of a manager who did a better job since Warnock and yet we 'declined to renew'. Reap what you sow.

I get that Willock didn’t look very good in that first half, but we cannot be having our interim manager alienating our best player in the one game he gets to manage. Maybe Warbs was right about the rest of the coaching/mgmt staff…

Unbelievable, could have taken off any of half a dozen and chooses to take off the one player who has a moment of magic in him. Jesus H Christ, how the f@ck do these people get and keep jobs? This club is an absolute circus.

What you want a straight answer?! It was up the far end, I've not seen a replay .....what, you STILL want an answer? One of those you want for you, but imagine that happening down the loft end to an oppo player and people would go mad if given. Ah yes, the answer - I'm probably going with convention and saying no.
