Exceeding Expectations 23:23 - Mar 9 with 13188 views | AndyCole | Despite the doom and gloom of some of our weak, entitled passive supporters we are massively exceeding expectations. The weak willed sheeple need to take some time to think, clearly. - joint 2nd in the league with a game in hand - win the game in hand, 3 points clear of the chasing pack - 2nd in games lost - joint 2nd with leaders Norwich in # goals against - for the run-in : - recently beaten leaders Norwich 2-0 - beaten leading contenders Watford - drew with main rivals Brentford - smashed most in-form team Barnsley 2-0 twice - 10 pts ahead of Play-off chasers ex-prem league Bournemouth, with a game in hand - 12 pts ahead of arch rivals Crapdiff, with a game in hand - Outfoxed the wiliest Warnock and O'Neill, and Hughton All on a relative shoestring. For the twps that always say "Yeah, but No, We Should OF".

Exceeding Expectations on 10:03 - Mar 19 by Dr_Parnassus | You are talking about amortisation, they are monies that will be owed regardless. 200k up front with add ons that could reach 700k is not the same thing. Scott Sinclair was on a similar deal when we signed him, his cost doubled after promotion, if we didnt get promotion it would never be paid. |
It's £700k. It's just the first instalment could be £200k (but still not sure where you've had that and are running away with it?) Derby would have been off their rocker if it was £200k with potential add ons.

Read what I wrote and don't selectively pick up parts to suit your agender. I just makes you look even more stupid.

Because he knows people within the club and it's specific information. Seems completely believable to me.

Exceeding Expectations on 10:14 - Mar 19 by Dr_Parnassus | Keith. Conor Hourihane signed a 2 year / £3,120,000 contract with the Aston Villa F.C., including an annual average salary of £1,560,000. In 2020, Hourihane will earn a base salary of £1,560,000, while carrying a cap hit of £1,560,000. |
So are we paying £30k a week? £30k a week for someone to destroy our midfield?

Sadly that's the thing about football. Most things become public because people demand to know where money goes with accusations of owner theft and such like.

You said Cooper doesn't buy the players. I don't want to get into a childish spat. Just merely pointing out that Cooper "brought" Lowe in to play as striker (ie out of position)

Where did I say that? I said the exact opposite didn’t I? I said even if we are paying 75% of someone’s salary that is 40k,50k,60k,70k or whatever other random name is thrown about is something we absolutely were not going to to, especially when we already had Morris.

Because you wanted to know. Surely it makes sense to go to the source and ask? It’s not for me to reveal anybodies sources. He’s a great guy is Keith.

Keith, haha he's doing his best to stay in your good books. You're the first forum owner that's shown him any love. See, Dimi only needed an arm around his shoulder

Err, here.... all the players wages you were quoting in the asterisks below, are 100% of their reported salary. Clearly referring to 100% of their salary? (where you've plucked the 75% from I don't know - Keith again?) ------------- It’s been the theme of the season, there is always something someone is trying to twist to bash the manager. On this thread it’s gone from not starting Morris over a span of matches where we won all but one (including beating Norwich 2-0), which was a draw away to Brentford with 10 men. Just senseless as his selection was clearly justified. **** Then it was not signing players for 30k, 40k and even 70k a week up front.****

I know you are desperate to try and disagree with everything and anything I say, it’s a fun game I’m sure. But you are completely losing me here, I have no idea what you are talking about. Your mate was suggesting we could have signed Charlie Austin on loan. I said he’s on 75k. At no point was I saying that what we would pay, in fact I specifically said even if we had to pay part of those wages it’s too much. That’s without even touching the loan fee of such a player. Why you are pretending it’s anything but the common sense view only you can know.
