You misread my post. By me saying Luongo not fitting the model now, I did not mean the type of player he could be within our formation, it was more along the lines of being 33 and not young and up and coming and even coming from a premiership club currently, his wages would not fit in either for himself either. That was my suggestion, why there would have been zero chance for ourselves to signing Luongo. |

He would not fit the model now. But excelled since he left us but no can't see him being a positive addition now anyhow. |

Was talking about outside chance of playoffs not 13th Anyway I am Dunne with this as he clearly isn't leaving and the club will announce his extended contract on Tuesday... [Post edited 2 Feb 11:09]

The issue being as stated if that is the case, don't sell your other right back, leave yourself with just a loan player in that position and so many injury prone centre backs where again you losing an ever present player who like others have said, has been clear POTY so far and given you years of great service. But losing him now, would be criminal, as its like saying we don't care about outside chance of playoffs as we prepared to let him go without replacing him.Thats where it would be ZERO AMBITION. Yes there is also the scenario, that they start Tuesday game with him announcing his extended contract, but again, saying he is injured, allowing the speculation, and then doing that STINKS. Wonder how many games this groin injury keeps him out for. And the bloke just lost his dad and played out of his skin for us. I don't like what QPR have done here, whatever way it pans out. Agree Connell There is no denying Dunne has been the heartbeat of the team - £2 million is not a big sum of money in today's game, and apparently we paid more for Madsen and Celar so it's hardly bonanza time.. The thing about this, that is stupid, if Dunne has been sold, we have recently sold another right back and the only other one remaining has been poor and a loan too. He could cover centre back too and Cook, Morrison JCS and Fox all injury prone and Edwards a loan. Jimmy also is generally an ever present. But none of that would matter, if we brought in a like for like replacement but no noise about this and two days left in the window. I appreciate play offs are distant and promotion potentially way too early, but the sales with no replacement shows ZERO ambition. Going to a much more upwardly mobile club in Sheffield Utd FFS. Ok if he is being paid more at Sheffield in their offer. Pay him..But no. The position of 16th is ours !! But yes rock up all those that are happy with that because all those that ourselves doing this now, that's what you are happy with !! What an achievement !!! Days like this, that i realise this club is consistently never going to amount to anything at all. ZERO AMBITION !!! If others can explain this as showing ambition, am all ears.... And although some are already saying we won't miss him if he is going - we all know we will..... As there is no replacement... If you going to sell, there needs to be a suitable alternative... Who is that then ?. [Post edited 2 Feb 0:13]

I would hope the dropping of Jimmy from the squad today doesn't mean that the game on Tuesday before the match , they are announcing a contract extension for Jimmy Dunne, simply because if that's the case, keeping a player out of the team that undoubtedly affected the course of the game, just so they can do a big surprise announcement bigger, is not good management for me. If they are doing it that way, would be delighted they extending his contract, but not so they anger fans for three or four days. It's disrespecting the fan base. In that case, play him today. However, Sheffield Utd as I understand it, have had a second bid turned down from ourselves and could turn to Tanganga, but Tanganga played in this game. Wasn't weirdly injured. Sheffield are definitely signing a centre back they have said, but if they want Jimmy as a centre back, I would not go there if it was me. He is definitely more effective at right back or on the right of a three, than in the middle. I was surprised when everyone were saying he was gone when there was no definite information but it's all rather mucky currently. It's the dirtiness of modern day football sadly. I appreciate if Dunne say offered double wages to what he is on here, he should go. Sounds like as a family man, he could help finance his entire extended family and knowing his character, he could be doing this for that reason. Football wise, it won't work out for him. |

I think the news re Dunne is ridiculous. There are times and reasons why you dont follow your usual ways of doing !! This one will hit Rangers - if true - not seen any confirmation as yet - but if the club do this, they are stupid !! Deflating news.... |

Have not seen this confirmed anywhere. We have turned down a second bid. Being out of the squad, could also be explained by announcing his new long term extended contract with QPR before the Blackburn game. Although we would know about this before as transfer window closes on Monday night. Its never over and tlll its over !!! I would be so peed off though !!! |

It's very rare that anyone is 100% evil. Hitler, Stalin, Putin, Saddam Hussein - open to debate. But your average person wants for a decent existence, a reason for being and potentially a significant other and a few others that they feel comfortable with. Then, a few activities that keep them sane !!!! But if your passion is following some dumb ass team in W12, then i am sorry to say this all goes out the window, as it can frustrate, it can anger, but just sometimes, it helps all the other things fall into place. Keep believing in life and eventually a great many decent things come to bear. But uncontrollables that's down to others. We can deal with our own lack, but the influence on a poxy little football team in W12 is not and never will be until I come back to QPR and sort you boys out. The names Beale. Michael Beale !!!!!! |

I obviously know nothing. But Jimmy is currently in the form of his life. We have three injury prone centre backs, another who is a short term loan and only one other option at right back, who although has potential, is over confident and prone to serious errors. If Dunne went, suitable cover at centre back and our only real decent right back, goes, with days left in the window to secure decent cover. If Dunne is allowed to go and nothing happens with regards to suitable replacement, all the good will towards recovery, is eliminated immediately. Anything less than £2.5 million and currently it's a ridiculous sale. If Dunne does go, my personal view would be the club has built up some positive backbone.that would be wiped out with no time to cover this loss Earlier in the window West London Sport said Jimmy is not for sale. If he goes, the club undoes all the positive things it has done. Daft is a very mild word if this sale happens !! |

Glad for him that he is doing well. Most of the goals have been tap ins, but fair play to the guy. Perhaps, he is not in our plans, but if he isn't so be it and hope he has a decent career elsewhere. If he is, in the belief he is later to develop, sure our staff will make the right decision. |

If it works though, in reality, who would have thought it.. I know as kids both Lewis Hamilton and his brother learnt how to race on grand prix simulation games. Both said it aided their progress and Lewis's brother who does race, has had the added issue of cerebral palsy. |

It's out of control online. People in the public eye are all open to horrendous abuse at times. People in the football industry are not considered as human beings, they are simply a good, bad or indifferent player / manager / coach, but that doesn't stop the insults etc. Yes we all know "Sticks and Stones may break our bones, but names will never hurt us" but if it's constant etc, it can impact. Ashby closing his social media because of nastiness, I can't understand why people would do that. Even when we are doing exceptionally well, people still like to have a boo boy. I have never got my head around that myself. As others have said, football doesn't matter at all in the scheme of things. The day my dad passed in the morning, I went to watch London Welsh play Bracknell rugby in the afternoon, ironically the two teams over many year i had gone to watch with him.. Yes the match had zero relevance who won or lost. Sometimes the written word can be misreprented so someone s dry sense of humour and can be read in a different manner also. Sometimes I think engaging with the hate it's better to stay away. On occasions on here, I can get too involved and was thinking, time for a break myself. But yes agree with the saying if you would not say it face to face, don't say it online. Sometimes it's best to keep schtum. [Post edited 31 Jan 8:39]

No chance this guy will be signed permanently as Spurs just signed him on a five and a half year contract. He seems like he could be excellent, so is this some kind of statement that we are seriously attempting for the play offs. Routledge was a similar loan in our promotion season. It's the only plausible explanation for me. [Post edited 30 Jan 9:49]
