Missing this one and going to watch Salisbury in their attempt to avoid relegation from National League South at Welling, but going to all the remaining games [Post edited 27 Apr 8:54]

Despite tickets currently only being available to supporters with 10+ aways and the possibility of having to pick up tickets with ID on the day there are at 11.45 less than 250 lower tier tickets still available, majority of these with restricted views. So club has now started sales for top tier, and it looks like we could sell out our full allocation |

Bernie is still ok, living in Salisbury now and see him occasionally at Salisbury Fc or the rugby club |

Don’t think that’s correct regards Cardiff, as I went by car and missed kick off, as game was unusually an early kick off 18.00 for some reason which I think accounted for the poor away turnout, plus with no segregation it was a dodgy place to visit then. The other great Easter weekend was in 1976, when we had Plymouth away on Good Friday, Bristol Rovers away the following day and then Oxford home on Easter Monday, losing away games 1-0 & 2-0 and beating Oxford 2-1 We took loads to both away games and my mate went on coach (run by Roland and Bernie Watts, the which Clive later took over) which stopped overnight at Torquay in between away games, and as a poor student slept the night in a telephone box, with another lad sleeping in the boot of a coach [Post edited 17 Apr 20:15]

Surely this must be at an all time low. In midweek Leeds had at least two goals incorrectly disallowed for offside. Today how anyone can wave play on after foul on Fernandes and suggest he was allowing advantage when we had one isolated player on ball up front is beyond me, and then allows Villa to break through and score, an absolute joke [Post edited 13 Apr 8:14]

On google maps says 44 min walk from Bramley Dock to Lime St, 31 mins to Moorfield around 15 mins closer to Dale St So not really comparable to St Mary’s |

I was there too, loudest gig I’ve been to for years. Had several people around me putting hands over their ears in certain songs Back to same venue to see Pixies in May |

No giving this one a miss, it’s a nightmare either getting there, especially by train or getting reasonably priced hotels diue to massive number of fans coming into Liverpool from a far. Which is a shame as I enjoy Liverpool as a city. It’s also more for some reason far more difficult to get back into the City Centre after the game than from Goodson. I think Bradley Dock will be awful getting to and from too, but it will be a few years before we get to find out how bad. [Post edited 5 Mar 20:08]

1. We went to Spoons at Putney £2.49 a pint for decent real ale thanks to 50p off Camra Voucher, lovely setting on banks of Thames 2. Left pub 7.30, got tube in ground before 8 3. We were decent first 15 mins, but it was all over after first goal despite Chelsea not poor imo 4. Great support once again despite the usual poor performance on pitch 5. As 3-0 down at half time decided to get 10.27 back from Clapham to Salisbury so left after 65mins, so home by Midnight |

Well I’ve given him time, but imo we doesn't He plays same formation/system week in week out,and it simply is working It seems to me that at the back we are trying to play man for man marking which leaves no cover should a player lose their man. Add to this he is only playing one defensive midfield As a result our defenders are getting pulled all over the place, and the midfield is getting overrun leaving a massive gap in through which teams are running through us time after time, almost every 50/50 ball in midfield is picked by the opposition and although playing 2/3 up front we rarely threaten our opponents goal. He really needs to do something about this, imo a good start would be make the midfield more solid with at least two defensive midfield players, and maybe just one man up front, so we stay solid and keep us in the game longer. If nothing changes I can see nothing but heavier and heavier defeats until the end of the season. |
