Extension or farewell letter??
at 11:57 28 Mar 2025

I think he is going to be a crucial player for us next season and he will increase his value and get other clubs wanting to sign him

Personally a narrow defeat would be acceptable
A draw or better would be magnificent

Wow.
Yes if we were safe but not in the running for any tilt at promotion and we gave away a silly goal or goals, it could indeed lead to questions being asked

Sheehan gets his way and gets his position clarified
at 07:30 28 Mar 2025

The past few weeks with the replacement of Coleman and new appointments on the coaching staff and non coaching staff may well prove to be a watershed after the seemingly slow but sure downward trajectory the club seemed to be in since the fateful day the Americans took over from the local owners.
Let's hope the rest of this season ( bar Sunday which I think is a free pass - even a narrow defeat would probably be acceptable) and beyond heralds a slow and steady climb in the right direction in all aspects of the club

George Foreman Passed Away ...

Brilliant film recently on his life story
I don't claim to know much about boxing but him and Ali and some others are true legends of our lifetime
RIP

Probably right.
I think the team in question was ran from the Rock and Fountain at the time.
I am going back to circa September 1983 ( I remember it only because i ran the Cardiff Marathon the next day with an injured toe sustained in the game the day before )
I used poetic licence on three points
1 - which Skewen team it was
2 - Not sure when Huw moved into his house looking out at the park
3 - As a child my mother did let me come home each evening
The rest is true
As you say great memories of a park that was the hub of the community for many years.
Now more marginalised and underused sadly, as with many parks and playing fields

I once played on that pitch for Coedffranc AFC ( didn't have to go far as halfway line was behind my garden )
Mr Huw Jenkins of Swans fame
I know he was watching me with interest over his low back garden wall but the call to join Swans never came.
He clearly wasnt impressed - neither were Coedffranc AFC, as they never picked me again !
On a serious note I used to love walking the dog in the park with no restrictions
Still go there today but sad to see a public pitch "privatised" in such a way
Agree though the days of kids ( and even men ) having impromptu games of footy in the park
I remember going over the park to play football with all my friends, my dear late adoring mother's words ringing in my ears " ... And dont come back until school starts again !!"

We would really hit the jackpot appointing him !
Joking aside it would be a great appointment but think he is probably more than we could afford salary wise

Not sure how that aligns with this article ?
Usually Phil and Keith would both have their fingers on the pulses.
So I would file that one under wild speculation 👍

You may be right about Jenkins but when did he leave ?
4, maybe 5 years ago ?
The way the club has been run since is nothing short of criminal.
Hopefully the current owners are learning from the mistakes of the time aince the Yanks bought the club and will not make the same mistakes

Expensive ?
£1 per hour ?
Even less if you get the MI Permit with residents discount through the Swansea City Council Website ?

Swansea City sink closer to those relegation spots after another poor display
at 00:27 16 Mar 2025

Sorry Keith and Max, but today had nothing to do with Premiership money or how good Burnley were.
More a case of how very poor we were.
We looked totally devoid of ideas and 100% full of mistakes.
I would say that any team in the Championship would have won given the way we played today

Which seat did you occupy down the stadium then ?
It's rhetorical BTW

Both I suggest
I stayed until the bitter end
Goodness knows why really
Very poor fare from us and TBH Burnley were disappointing

I agree entirely that the immediate area by High Street Station has improved a lot.
However walk down High Street towards what once was Woolworths or up the other way towards Dyfatty and Greenhill and it makes for sober viewing

I was there yesterday and yes some of it is in need of investment, but there are still a lot of lovely shops, cafes, bars, a new Leisure Centre and library.
Don't throw the baby out with the bath water mate ?

Burnley will never make £3.5m transfer fee back ...
at 23:16 1 Mar 2025

What nonsense once again.
The Yanks ( I use the term freely in the knowledge that you find it okay to use generic terms for other groups - such as Cockneys) did not invest to grow the club.
They merely spent as little as they could of their and other peoples money ( plus the money we received when relegated) to pay the Bill's, whilst reducing the wage bill drastically on the non playing side and selling whatever talent we had only to use that money to pay the daily bills.
They had obviously reached a point where our assets have largely run out and therefore sold the club for far less than they were reported to have originally "invested" ( I use that term loosely )
IMHO of course ...
However you just keep on peddling your nonsense in support of them
