Yes, thanks Sam ! Maybe we should pin this somewhere in anticipation of the next discussion relating to new owners. |

I would also take copies of your car insurance and proof of ownership wit you. The Rozzers will almost certainly ask to see something that shows you own the vehicle if you get stopped. You'll also get breathalysed and if there's any for of speeding fine, expect to be escorted to the ATM to extract the cash before they allow you to drive on. I suspect that they spent mine on lunch given that I was stopped around 11:30am and let go shortly before 12noon. |

I also have what used to be called the Coyote App for RADAR = cameras. There are plenty of signs for fixed cameras but not for mobile and when you get tired, you don’t always remember to adjust after the signs so having a reminder like snooze on your alarm can be useful. The free version has a few ads to navigate but it’s a good safety blanket when activated and just running in the background. Think it’s called RadarBot these days. Has a sideline in identifying players unsuited to the championship regardless of their data. Agree completely about fuel prices - never fill up on the autoroute if you have a choice. Supermarket fuel is usually the best value and it gives you an opportunity to get a better bite to eat if you find a decent relais routier or similar. As with skiing, we always drive/ski through the 12-2pm period when most French people stop for what feels like a mandatory 3 course meal with wine (if it’s hot). |

Autoroutes are usually pretty relaxing, smooth and traffic free it’s out of rush hours and holidays. The Peage stations can require some patience if you pay cash and petrol/diesel requires a credit card for prepay in most locations but the instructions can be selected in English. On the smaller roads, watch out for the slowest driver in France in front of you and the fastest behind you, usually in a Renault - insert Made up Name. When I say behind you, I mean actually in the boot/hatch. Same in Italy but it’s a Fiat-Alfa sandwich. [Post edited 25 Feb 20:19]

Somebody posted on the patterns of play that were developing at the time we played the three together regularly. I can’t remember who it was but it was a really good explanation of how we used Dunne, Morgan and Smyth with Frey to link the right hand side up with distribution from Nardi. That has now gone from our game plan seemingly. No idea why but it’s fairly evident and I would imagine you can directly correlate our better period of results with playing the three in question. Now we have an enviable situation with Colback rotating around rests/injuries/specific game selection but are picking only two. If anyone can link results and points to the selection easily, I would imagine this will prove or disprove the theory very quickly. |

I think it’s the duration you stay in Saudi that determines the tax (or lack of it). Minimum stay of two years to pay zero, so maybe he was paid to the end of a contract and is still being paid on ‘dessert’ leave. That would mean he couldn’t take another job rather than not taking one in the UK. Henderson was just stupid and had no benefit from leaving so soon. Quite the opposite I suspect. |

Thanks Clive, completely agree with the assessment - frustrating as fark. Albert Einstein: The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. You could try a CBD bath bomb and a rubdown down with the Sporting Life next time (because we know that is also a known, known). Far less stressful than a trip to an ‘Island’ Tesco, where even the instant coffee is protected by plastic cases embedded with GPS. I have a question (for everyone) about Marti’s cross hammer hand signal - anyone have a clue what it means ? Comes out late in the game when we are chasing our tails. Seems to be aimed at Cook but related to Dunne playing up front. Maybe he’s just a closet Iron and hoping to get some attention from Sullivan but I guess it’s a desperate action. I’ve seen the players do it occasionally before corners too but given how shit most of them are I’ve written any logic or connection off. |

I think some of the players were intimidated rather than thinking about the beach. Marti admitted he picked Ballerina Smyth over Yang for this reason. If that was the logic, then you would have to ask why not pick Tofu Tofu Colbackie too then, because he revels in that type of game - probably the best we have at it. |

That would be good news but as things stand, we would need to find a lot of new players and bed them in, which we know takes time and effort as well as considerable funds. Given that we know we have needed a LB and RB all season and still don’t have anyone other than Ashby as cover, I don’t see the task as straightforward. And as much as I love Cookie, one more season might be a stretch and we will probably need to Robin Hood his wages. |

Maybe we used paAI to create the video and the voice disconnect ? My takeaway was that we don’t like it up is and can’t really cope when that happens. #bring #stripynigels |

Wilkins makes a perfectly valid point: Dunne, Cook, Fox and Paal are all currently out of contract Edwards and Ashby are on loan. That leaves us with Morrison and JCS as starters this season, plus Larchece when he returns but even then, I doubt he will be starting left back. JCS will cover 10-20 games if the right leaves fall on the tracks and Morrison isn’t exactly injury free. So you need a new back line of starters/back ups. Not another bunch of the pre-injured, midget tens or utilities. Never like the utilities in monopoly, certainly don’t think we need them in football these days. Invert my Rs. |

The latest batch of recruitment really confused me. I would have expected to fill specific roles with the relevant skills, knowing that our back line needs a complete renewal. We’ve known about this for a long time now. |

Don’t panic Cptn Mainwaring, we’ve got 5 number 10s and some injured Chelsea guy that can play anywhere ! Don’t know what the problem is. |

Even Nardi lost it at one point and our clearances throughout were just schoolboy standing foot levels of terrible. Do we send everyone to a forget the basics training centre or off to see Eileen Drury with Uncle Glenn ? We know the team can play but days like this and Swansea really make you wonder WTF is going on. |
 | Forum Reply | Not a new phenomenon at 19:13 22 Feb 2025
I empathise/agree with you but we also lost to the same shite team we played today at home this season…. It was a rank performance |

After today, I’d be considering starting him in some games. No point sending him on loan again, he’s only got a year to go. Play him or sell him but we should at least respect the guy’s efforts and goals this year. |
