No, I didn’t ignore your links PS, only trying to square what are, or seem like, conflicting interpretations from usually reliable media sources; sources that continue to report on the likes of Wednesday and Blackburn keeping slots in their squad registration lists open for free agents that may still appear after submission deadline.
Nico’s posting of the FIFA regs on transfers, however, would seem to have definitively nailed that. |

The next key date is when squads have to be registered.
If a club leaves space in its registration, a free agent can be signed and can play for his new club, regardless of whether he became a free agent before or after the transfer window.

Agree Kernow, I 'sensed' hesitation in a few of his team mates to pass to him.

A few things have to go right for some teams below us, for us to trip up at this point.
But:
Sheffield Weds are perfectly capable of escaping relegation if they can beat Blackburn today.
Birmingham have an easier run-in than most, and have identical GD to Rangers.
I ran a few scenarios this morning and scared the bejesus out of myself when, in one version of the future, we get relegated on 50pts. Plus Huddersfield.
We’re not out of this by a long way and may even need another 2/3pts, if Weds win today.

If you’re referring to around 5 mins on the highlights, then I think that was a knock from the defender on Chris. He seemed to be more concerned about his knee, albeit briefly. |
