I think the same and really hope that is the case. I had a conversation walking away from our defeat there earlier this season with a particularly smug Derby fan. He kept saying how poor we were and at that time they were about 8 points above us. I told him to see where we both were in a few months time and I am delighted to see them two points below us already.
Just remind me how playing open expansive attractive football has got Southampton this season?
Marti seems to have gone back to basics and become pragmatic to grind out some results given where we were in the league. This would seem to be working. Let's get in a more comfortable position and then open up a bit. Having said all that I felt Bristol were excellent and didn't give us much opportunity. Compare that to the Watford game where I thought we played our best stuff of the season.
Yes, I am not a big fan of PS as I believe he genuinely is not up to this level. However, he really does put a shift in and his pace can cause real problems. He has had a couple of decent games lately.
I had my first ever pint of the stuff last year at (of all places) the Guinness Factory in Dublin. Slightly embarrassing given I am sixty (hard to believe I know )
I really enjoyed it and have been consuming a few ever since.
For me the UB's went from brilliant to pretty $hit from Red Red Wine onwards. Probably a sweeping generalisation but how they went from The Earth Dies Screaming and One in Ten etc to that so quickly still pains me.
My nephew mined it for fun when he was a spotty youth. All his coins were thus obtained free when it first started. He retired at 28 after selling only one about one fifth of his total coins.
