Saints had a corner in the second half, it was played short, then back to mid-field, then across to the other wing, back to mid-field again, pass forward Brentford intercept, go on the attack. If RM things negative, based football is going to win games, he must be deluded.
It must change NOW, we have the internation break to work on a new system.

Just got back, what a disappointing game. Sum it up-Brentford from keeper needs 3 or 4 passes to get to Saint goalmouth, Saints need 15 to 20 passes to still be in their own half.
So slow, if things don't change there is no way we can survive' It's not the players, all down to RM |

So looks like we could be stuck with AM. would not be so bad if RM is prepared to adapt the style of play and stop tying to pass the ball around in the box (no chance!!!) |

What's the point he would not fit into our style of play don't play though the middle, all our crosses are into the box with at least 10 players there.
Most of his goals look like they are played at pace into the area with just a couple of players and balls played though the middle, all things RM does not believe in. |

Stats tell it all, 65% possession, 1 shot on goal and only 1 off target (at home)
More telling for me, McCarthy had to make 7 saves (a couple of good ones) Forest should have won more easily.
So Saints had more possession in the first 2 games but no goal threat, and that is against 2 teams who did not even play that well, just wait until we face a good side!
If RM cannot see that his game plan will not work but is not prepared to change, he should resign.
Expect Dibbling to leave on loan next week!!!!!

Listening to Newcastle Radio after the game, they summed up Saints perfectly - all huff and puff nothing in the final third Newcastle had 2 solid banks of 4, Saints did not know how to get round the back .Edozie a one-trick pony who was so predictable. Newcastle were poor, with only 1 shot on or off goal (and that was a soft shot!) , if Saints continue to play that way it will be a long hard season for them. |

I have to admit I fail to see any benefit for Saints so far, It just seems the club buy players out of the club's budget then send them out on loan in the hope that maybe in a few years one of them might just be good enough to play for Saints. How much does it cost the club?? |
