Brazilian striker on radar 20:22 - Aug 26 with 1757 views | GRIM | Apparently we have submitted a bid for a Brazilian Striker, I personally don't know anything about him apart from he's a 23 year old striker. It's unlikely that a deal can be completed before deadline.

He looks OK on video but this is just a snapshot showing his best bits. Not sure why we're bothering to buy a striker because RM doesn't play with striker, he converts them into wingers.

Should be able to get him on loan, I think…..

Brazilian striker on radar on 21:18 - Aug 26 with 1551 views | BLEEDRED | What's the point he would not fit into our style of play don't play though the middle, all our crosses are into the box with at least 10 players there. Most of his goals look like they are played at pace into the area with just a couple of players and balls played though the middle, all things RM does not believe in.

Thanks, that’s something I suppose Pat, but why oh why are we always behind the curve ball when it comes to getting players to join us ? By this weekend we will have played nearly 10% of our 24/25 fixtures . The window opened weeks ago yet once again we are shopping for last minute bargains. It happens nearly every season. What have the transfer panel ( or whatever they want to call themselves ) been doing, other than buying a never ending quantity of very young inexperienced midfielders to shovel off to Turkey ?

Brazilian striker on radar on 21:36 - Aug 26 with 1472 views | Joiedevivre | 2023: 8 goals in 34 Brazilian league games 2024: 4 goals in 18 Brazilian league games. Not exactly the most glowing endorsements from Brazilian fans: “let me tell you as someone who watches brasilian football every week... think of nicolas jackson's worse misses... yuri alberto does that once every 1-2 weeks. i cant believe southampton want him” “But watching him play, you see how many opportunities he misses. He can't finish 1v1 with the gk. He can't pass accurately. He can't dribble. He can't control the ball. Besides his work ethic, what do you think he is good at?“ (Translated from Portuguese)”There's no f*cking way that Yaoi Closed is still being approached by a Premier League club. If it's free it's still very expensive and they would be robbing Southampton outright”

My thoughts are that had Diaz and Archer already scored a few goals in the first two games, they probably wouldn't be buying the Brazilian striker. They try to do everything as cheaply as possible and hope it works. Two games no goals, no chances, it's like sh!t we better buy another striker before the window closes. But it's another young, unproven striker with poor stats in a much poorer league than the PL. They buy them like sweets. [Post edited 26 Aug 21:41]

Brazilian striker on radar on 21:51 - Aug 26 with 1412 views | PatfromPoole | Our record of signing South American strikers so far…… Delgado Guly Ramirez Carillo Alcaraz Not sure if I have missed any…… But they range from “not disastrous” to “completely fcuking disastrous”. Not a complete success story, in truth…..

Tall Paul Onuacho has a better goal scoring record we'd just as well give him a go. At least he'd cost us nothing.

The Archer transfer is odd. Where exactly was he bought to play? Is he a Centre Forward? With the 3-5-2 formation last Saturday but with BBD and Armstrong being stuck out on the wings why wasn’t Archer played as a Centre Forward in a 3-4-3 formation? Football is a simple game. Let’s not overcook it Russell.

As are Stuart Armstrong and Ryan Fraser. We have a weaker team now than the one that finished last season.

And a weaker team than when we got relegated. Worrying isn't it.
Brazilian striker on radar on 13:49 - Aug 27 with 790 views | dirk_doone | He's got his first full cap for Brazil, which suggests he's not bad. There are plenty of videos of him online. He can score with either foot and his shots are usually on target, although, as has been pointed out above, he often shoots straight at the goalkeeper. With our budget, we're not going to get the next Neymar, but this guy certainly looks better than Guly and he is a real striker. [Post edited 27 Aug 14:02]
