I suppose with games Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday and Monday there will inevitably be changes for each game, alongside possibly what may appear at the time confusing substitution, with the aim of managing minutes and hopefully avoiding fatigue injuries.
It appears that East, Gilmour and Henry will rotate with whoever is on the bench coming on. Why Beckwith is interesting though as I do not really see Armstrong as a like for like replacement, but hopefully he has a good game. [Post edited 20 Aug 19:50]

I understand the principle of rotation but if you pay good money shouldn’t you expect to see in most cases the strongest possible lineup?

Agree. We look very dodgy on the left hand side of our defence . also feel the keeper should be saving their tame effort from which they scored.
Although we have had plenty of chances to shoot, we do seem to be overplaying and not having enough efforts on goal. Mitchell especially needs better technique when trying to control the ball.

Lost but it was an entertaining game. Like you say started to overplay it a bit instead of having a go. Overall an entertaining game from both sides. We should have at least scored, but they could have got another in the second half too.
Million miles away from the poor displays of last year, but it is still only 4 points from 9 and only 1 goal in the last 2 games with lots of attacking play. If we can be a bit sharper up front it could be a good season for us | | | |

Not up for it tonight. York were a yard quicker and wanted it more than us. I want to be proved wrong but on that display we ain’t play off contenders. Rodney conspicuous by his absence and Mitchell always looks lost by himself. Two wingers couldn’t get into the game either. Trying to find positives but struggling after that performance. That selection and the use of subs is something only McNulty can explain.
Rodney and Mitchell staying on for 90 minutes was hard to fathom and Allarakhia was justifiably disappointed as he walked round the pitch.

Overall, I'm disappointed that McNulty doesn't seem to have learned from last seasons mistakes and is still scared of his team shooting when they have half a chance.
We can almost discount the opening day win against a Boston team who were nowhere near the standard of an average team at this level. Our last two games have been against more typical teams, and we've not shown much tactical flexibility. | | | |

Tactically we are flexible. The back three became a four at times tonight. The issue was selection as Beckwith could have played the LCB/LB role and he’s aready worked out where he can support attacks. He didn’t start and the subs didn’t replace the players who weren’t performing. Managerial decisions.
One thing York deserve credit for was ensuring our wide players didn’t get to the byeline as much as in previous games. Felix who played on both sides across the 90 minutes was excellent for them. | |

Got what we deserved which was nothing. York better in attack and defense, stronger and quicker than we were.
We came out fighting in the second half but it soon petered out when York had a decent chance.
From starting XI to substitutions it was a really poor game from McNulty.
