We have to face facts if he gets us out of the mire and we finish in a decent position then his stock will rise and he will attract offers at a higher level. Sort of see a comparison with Fulham's current manager Marco Silva who started off at Hull then moved up the chain. Hopefully if all goes well for us and Marti and we both progress then we have him until end of next season, but football is a fickle game and nothing is guaranteed. What we have to hope is Marti is bought into the project and not a Beale type character. |  | | |

He's clearly ambitious and prepared to move around the world to progress. We're the 7th club he's managed in 4 different countries and he's still only 41 years old.
If he continues to do well with us we won't be able to keep hold of him so let's hope the board will have learned lessons and have a similar manager in their sights. |  | | |

Good point, as ever, Bazza but it is fun to get carried away. Currently I am putting him just a little behind Pep but definitely in front of Sir Alex.
I get the point that he has managed a lot of clubs for his age but hopefully this is by far and away the highest level / best club so hopefully he will want to carry on showcasing his wares here.
The connections with El Tel so far are uncanny, so clearly:
> comfortably leads us to safety this year
> FA Cup final next season and sniffing the playoffs
> Win league year after
> 5th in Prem, Euro qualification.
