Pure Non Entertainment 11:43 - Aug 29 with 7383 views | DavieQPR | If you were a fan of Preston and followed them Home and Away in their six games this season you would have seen one goal. Five 0-0 and one 1-0. Must be time wasting from the first minute. [Post edited 29 Aug 2022 11:44]

But presumably given the number of goals scored as well as conceded they're an eleven man defensive unit? As someone who goes to almost all of Ranger's matches, how would you feel about watching that team every week?

Pure Non Entertainment on 07:45 - Sep 1 by SouthallRanger | It just occurred to me: weren’t Preston the first league club to go the full season undefeated… just saying. Also imagine if they went the whole season without conceding a goal. Still it won’t count as it was before the premier league era, and they were never given a moniker such as “the invincibles” |
The only problem with that Southall is that they were known as "The Invincibles"! This was in the first season of the Football League & their last championship was in the following season 1889/90. Two FA Cup wins as well, but nothing since 1938.

I seem to remember in our 82/83 season there were a lot of 1-0 and 0-0 scorelines especially away from home. The back four moved in perfect synchronisation, 10 yards apart step up, drop back, go left, go right; catching countless offsides much to the frustration of the opposition and their crowd. A joy to watch though with a good team and Venables at his tactical best.
| Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean we're not all against you. |
