Fantastic photos and very nostalgic.
I sometimes wonder if kids that age are seen at Premiership games these days? Or have they have been priced out of it?
My boss at work is a Newcastle fan and he was telling me that the average age of season ticket holders at St James Park was 35 in 1992, 45 in 2002 and 55 in 2012.

A new series of The Big Match Revisited has just finished on BT Sport, showing old episodes from the 1976/77 season.
The fans pictured are probably at some of those games, especially as United and City featured quite regularly.
And here's one for the trivia buffs - Tottenham v Sunderland from April 1977 was shown on Thursday. Sunderland had two future Dale managers in their matchday squad of 12. Who were they? |  |

Very rarely, that vehicle was on the car park at Spotland.
More usually, we had to go to the newsagent at Spotland Bridge to await the bundle of 'Pink Finals' to be hurled from the rear of a moving van. Ifnthe Green Final arrived first, we'd settle for that. | |

I remember getting my Pink from that bus stop across from Burtons tailors shop in town.
They had a guy who used to wander around Firgrove asking about scorers etc. You could see a very brief report of the game you were playing in if you were lucky in the Pink . Even youth club games !
I had my name in a few times when I got lucky scoring a few goals. | | | |
