News Stories for Saer Sene

No Pain, No Retain! Tue 19th May 2015
I have an image of the evil child catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the look of joy on all the children's faces when they were released from his wicked grasp! Whilst they may now be out of work there can't be many of Blackpool's ex-players who aren't secretly relieved that they won't have to return to Gloomfield Road next season.
Lee Clark Gone! Did he walk or was he pushed? Sat 09th May 2015
Ed Milliband, Nick Clegg and Nigel Farage (kind of) proved on Friday that the most dignified way to leave a post when you're not wanted is to resign. So the news that Lee Clark and Alan Thompson have decided to leave Bloomfield Road does beg the question 'did they walk or were they pushed?'. It seems strange after months of planning and preparation for a new start that the Blackpool manager should choose to fall on his sword.
Birmingham v Blackpool Preview Wed 04th Mar 2015
This season there have been some players who have been so tragic, if things weren't so dire, we could have a laugh about. Many have described Saer Sene's debut at Bloomfield Road as a bit like 'Bambi on Ice' and the worst performance at the seaside since the Krankies were doing a summer season on the front. Somewhat unsurprisingly, since we have very little to play for at St Andrews, it looks as though our French striker might get a start at Birmingham! If Torville and Dean are in the Midlands they may well enjoy his performance more than the Seasiders fans do.
Brentford v Blackpool Preview Mon 23rd Feb 2015
Two games unbeaten for Lee Clark's side but four games without a win is the real stat. If Blackpool had won the last four games then they'd be knocking on the door to safety which shows that it can be done, however the chances of the Seasiders putting together a four game unbeaten run are as likely as Jeffrey Rentmeister being the next presenter of Top Gear. Another tough away trip takes 'Pool to Griffin Park where they face a Brentford surprise who have been one of the surprise packages in the Championship this season and could well end up in the top tier next season if they're form continues.
Blackpool 1 Millwall 0 Sat 10th Jan 2015
There is an irony to the fact that Ian Holloway helped keep us up last season with a rare home win for the Seasiders against Millwall (the only one under Barry Ferguson) and wouldn't it be strange if another win against Ollie's side was the catalyst that kept us up this time. The former Blackpool manager just keeps on giving at Bloomfield Road but will probably never want to see the place again.
Blackpool v Millwall Preview Sat 10th Jan 2015
There was a time that match day would fill Blackpool fans with hope, excitement and expectation, nowadays they approach a game with hate, repulsion and anger. When will things ever return to normality at Bloomfield Road? The vast majority would answer that question with 'when the Oyston's pack up and go' but the chances of that happening are minimal. In the meantime, Lee Clark will be starting to realise just how difficult the owners of the club are to work with. Having brought through Dom Telford and Mark Waddington, with neither having let him down, Oyston has now demoted them back to his Youth Side for not agreeing to a misely wage.
