Rotherham's most famous fans The Chuckle Brothers had the catchphrase 'To me, to you'. If they'd been watching Blackpool this season then they would have had to have changed that expression to 'To me, to you and then lose possession'. Whilst the Seasiders have struggled to string more than a couple of passes together in a game, they've also struggled to string a run of results together.

The best they've managed all season is a draw against Middlesbrough and a win against Cardiff and if anyone thought that was the turning point then a subsequent four defeats in a row put paid to that. The optimist would point out we've only lost one of the last three games, the pessimist would say we've not won in seven games whilst the realist would say one win from eighteen games is where we are. Just three draws on the road is as much as a concern as the horrendous form at home and Lee Clark will know that our trips away before the end of the year could yet prove decisive. With Rotherham, Charlton and Sheffield Wednesday to come, will Clark get his first win at any of these clubs?

Well, his first chance comes as the Seasiders travel to the New York Stadium on Saturday. If someone said that we'd be 10 points behind Rotherham after 18 games of the season then you'd know we were in trouble. The Millers were one of the early season favourites to go down and despite an impressive start they have faltered of late. Without a win in six, one goal in the last five games and having conceded quite a few in those matches, Steve Evans will be desperate to halt the slide against the Championship's rock bottom club. A bit like Blackpool they are struggling for a leading goalscorer with Alex Revell their top marksman on 3 for the season, with Jordan Bowery, Luciano Bechio and Jonson Clarke-Harris on two apiece. Looking at the sides down there, you'd say that the Chuckle Brothers may not be smiling come May with the Millers likely to join Blackpool in League One next season. Therefore all the more reason that this is a game which Lee Clark should be looking for that much needed win.

We are just five games away from the halfway point of the season and so every game is crucial to Lee Clark.. Whilst Saturday's draw against Bolton was welcome, in our predicament it was clearly not enough.. So what would our friends the optimist, the pessimist and the realist say ahead of our trip to Yorkshire? Well, the optimist will say a win will see us close in on the group of teams above us, the pessimist would say we've only won once away from home all year and so what will be different about Saturday, whilst the realist would say that any victory at the moment is unlikely to change our fate at the end of the season.
