Bannon’s last min shot was direct from the kick-off, fairly good effort, just over the bar but Nardi scrambled back and had it covered. I’m not sure I’d have ever recovered if that had gone in!
Long day but ultimately a great one that felt like a win. The dramatic late goal shouldn’t mask a a surprisingly poor performance, very lucky to be level at HT and would have had no reason to complain if we had lost. Seem to be a lack of movement, ideas and an inability to do the basic’s right, created very little although the stats look reasonable I suspect this was really only because of the mad scramble significantly added to our shots on target!
£38 is too much, particularly given the view and concourse facilities we can offer. Shame more teams can’t work together and agree a limit, £25 seems about right these days.
Quite liked it last season when time wasted was actually added on, 4mins was an absolute joke I genuinely thought minimum 7 although doubt it would have made a difference.
Not sure we can aim any criticism at Marti for a second half during which we completely dominated and created numerous chances, only thing we couldn’t do is put the ball in the net.
We currently have plenty of options in CM, need to give EDB and Varane more of a chance, if we get Hayden in he potentially blocks opportunities. If EDB does go on loan then maybe but comes down to costs, age and injury record a concern, also have nagging doubts as Norwich fans didn’t rate him at all.
Plenty of Championship clubs would be interested, his goals and assists speak for themselves and many transfers are now based on stats. Chair gets a lot of love from Championship fans, invariably thought of as our best player. 5M+ and I think he goes.
I assumed this would be 100% vote cup win! We have won just one knock-out competition in the history of the club and this is a chance to double that, with what would be an amazing day at Wembley. Even if we did go down we would have the ‘fun’ of getting back to the Championship.
Really enjoyed the matches I’ve been in rail seating, good atmosphere and I prefer standing. Nice to see the club make a positive change to the ground, as others have said though don’t judge it on a friendly
I’ve introduced my son and other family members to cricket through T20, we are Somerset fans so were lucky enough to see us win the Blast last season. Great format of the game that I thoroughly enjoy, just shame the tournament will lose a bit of momentum this season with a break until the QF’s.
