Juergen Sommer
at 12:48 11 Apr 2025

Sommer was pretty ropey I think but he followed some tough competition (I don't include Ludo in that though)

What I always remember about Jurgen who wasn't German is the article he did after Cantona scored during Part One of Blind Date on ITV as it was so late.
He basically publicly said the League was crooked as they were doing all they could to ensure teams at the top like Man Utd stayed at the top and their agenda was to keep them winning. He got a big fine from the FA IIRC but the man was right.... still is.

If Celar returns anything like 1 in 4 at this level we will truly have slipped through the vortex to a parallel dimension

Even more so him “holding up the ball”
That is simply not his game although, to be fair, I’m not sure what his game actually is

Read this on tube on way in.

The few other passengers looked at me like I was one of the laughing London loons you see at that time of the morning

Absolutely class writing

Have we ever had a better loan than Ronnie Edwards?

Some memory stirring shouts on here.

Honourable mention to Mikkel Beck who won me a good few quid as 1st goal scorer in his time with us.
I miss the bookies window in the Loft Upper!

Also need to mention Big Danny Shittu on loan from Charlton originally I think.
Was up Peterborough for his debut and he was bloody awful and I'm sure got sent off.
Remember thinking "WTF have we got here" and then the man became a legend

Yet again James of the Dunne Dynasty suggested as axillary striker.

I just don't get it.

So are we saying we're going to forfeit this game and have it down as a 2-0 defeat and get a 12 point deduction?

I was quite confident after last nights result but.....

Then you start thinking about yet more injuries.
Ashby probably starting next game
Anderson and Madsen being in the same 11 from kick off
Having no strikers and playing an Aussie so far out his depth it would take him three days to paddle back to shore on his surfboard

One more positive result alongside negative results for a few below us and we should be fine... should

Midweek away games
at 11:35 10 Apr 2025

My bastard job meant I couldn't go last night.
Had booked the afternoon off and everything bought and paid for.... would've been my first away game for ages.
Then the real kicker.... Director drops me a message at about 2:00pm saying he could push todays deadline back to next week.... I could've punched him.

I dropped off the work to watch the game and glad I did.
Away end sounded and looked really good.

Just gutted I missed it and an opportunity to stick ground number 87 on my list

The King makers down there could actually be West Brom.

Hope they give it the gun with a chance of the play offs but they may well be checked out if results don't go their way

This is QPR -- lets get the math done first please!

I totally understand the celebrations at the end after so long without a win.
I did feel a bit "hang on a minute" and thought it might be a bit premature and all that.

One more win will do it I reckon if combined with the bottom four losing one more
Plymuff can get a maximum of 52 points and need to make up 32 goals
They play Cheff Utd on Saturday then Boro away, Cov home, PNE away and finish at home to Leedscum....
AT LEAST TWO LOSSES THERE SO WON'T CATCH US IF THAT HAPPENS

Lootown max of 55 points and make up 19 goals
Home to Blackburn, away to Derby, Home Brizzle City, Home Cov, away West Brom
BIT DODGE - CAN SEE TWO WINS AND TWO DRAWS SO HOPEFULLY REMAIN BELOW US
TWO DEFEATS AND WE'RE GOOD (GD PERMITTING)

Cardiv and Derby max 57 and 14 / 4 goals respectively
Cardiv - home to Sjoke, away Cheff Utd, home Oxford, home West Brom, away N'arich
NEED TO WIN THREE AND I'D HOPE THEY ONLY GET TWO WINS AND A DRAW MAX

Derby - away Pompey, home Lootown, away West Brom, away Hull, Home Sjoke
AS ABOVE - I THINK THEY COULD DO IT

Throw into the mix other teams between us and the bottom three play them or tough games and it's an added buffer

Tonight's win is MASSIVE but I'd like to see us follow that up with two more games undefeated and I'd say that's us home n hosed.

I made Morrison my MoM

One of those CB's who never looks too flustered, great positioning, judges headers well but also never does anything too spectacular

Agreed they are wonderful duo

I know the questions about a higher level and all that and many will say "you don't get that time and space etc"
For me if you've got finishing in your locker then you just need a bit of confidence and the other 10 in your team to make chances for you. I'd say League One is actually a bit tougher at times for strikers.

We paid £250k for the lad apparently.
He's been here what 3 years?
Thats just over a million outlay (unless the O's are picking up all his wages) and we've seen next to nothing in return.
For me we either sell for £300k with a 40% sell on or give the lad five months with us next season IF we are still at this level.

I actually hope he makes it here but would question how many chances he'd get a game.

We might just have a slimmest of chances if Owen Goal is playing for them

Hope Rayan can play - he kick started our season many moons ago in dark winter times.

As we approach the summer I hope to see Kolli flower
