Excellent! No to constant passing. Bring us the one they call Moyes. The long throws and crosses into the box were a joy to behold yesterday. Is a fitter team, giving it their all, lobbing it into the box too much to ask for? Quick counter attack is our best way of getting results. [Post edited 19 Dec 17:38]

It also highlighted our priorities. Certain players - Brereton Diaz, in only a short stint - showed they weren’t very good. These “shitters” need to be replaced by players who may actually do something. Long balls, especially with a goalkeeper like Ramsdale, can be effective; however, a more compact midfield is needed if the ball is given away. Downes-Aribo is a death sentence. Downes especially put in a lazy, selfish performance. Barely putting in a shift and fouling all over the place, even when the ball was nowhere near. He may be sad his best mate Lego has gone. I take it number 26 isn’t very good, as any significant central midfielder should walk into this side; a must in January. Onuachu is poor but offers strength through opposition paranoia. Him and Archer should lead the line. Danger men like Dibling, and even Sulemana (who I thought was decent coming on) should be given freedom. Someone should tell Dibling to keep his head up. In defence, Taylor needs to be given another go with Sugawarra on the other side. Wood was excellent. Stability at the back, quick counters in attack. This should be our plan going forward. Good second half. Most enjoyment of the season. I just hope SR sees the light and doesn’t appoint another possession manager. There’s life in the crowd and players. A possession-led appointment could zap this away. |

From what I see most Saints fans drink Dark Fruits so should be fine. Game on. [Post edited 18 Dec 14:27]

I began by feeling a sense of hatred for SR, forgiveness for Solak (it is he who's parting with his money). At this point, however, the guy must be extremely gullible to hand his cashola to Ankerson and co. |

Stinks of the championship, much like Russ before him. Russ’ hair gel only masked the smell. |

Fonte said in an interview at the last Euros that he was doing his badges and was open to it. Maybe he could get his mate Ronaldo to help out. Though was not the greatest for United, he may do a job for us. |

Granted, his last two jobs weren’t very good. But his stature in the game could be the kick up the arse these players need; a big footballing name as manager is not something we’ve had since Koeman left. He doesn’t play tappy football. He could give our team more structure. |

Replacing Russell Martin with a champions league winning manager - not to mention he actually won the championship (Martin could only dream). Joke or not, Rafa would have my full backing. |

It’s good to question the profit masters. Admittedly, he looks like a bit of an arse. But Pharma undoubtedly makes money from illness. Similarly, the military industrial complex makes money from wars. The further conspiracy stuff is not backed up by any proof, but I respect his ability to question. Now can we go back to watching his goal compilation. [Post edited 9 Dec 22:19]

Yes, Moyes please. We won’t stay up, but give us a manager to have some hope in. Oh, and stop the passing round the back. |

Players will lift their game against better teams in order to cement their next move. It was exactly the same last time we went down, playing well against the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and United - when it truly counts we falter. |

Have you seen: semi skimmed milk is now “woke” according to the Faragists. As is alternative-to-dairy options. It’s all an act to get you annoyed and buy their papers / watch their shows / vote for them, which many fall for. And i’m on the right. |
