We (Clive, I and our travelling party) left after Barry Bannan scored for Shef Wed on 93 this season, so we were in the car park for Alfie Lloyd's 96th minute goal of the season. Now I reasoned that we could just tell nobody, we were still on Sheffield Wednesday's property when it went in, so from a legal standpoint we were 'there' for it, we just didn't 'see' it, but holier than thou couldn't face the dishonesty clutching his Rosary Clive wasn't on board with my plan... |

Just putting my Forensic Lawyer hat on, Document discovery and subsequent Disclosure is done pre-trial, so they'll have already done all of that, and is probably one of the reasons why it's taken so long to get to trial - they'll have known the volume of data to review and set the trial date accordingly yonks ago... |

Yeah, experienced similar issues myself last night with the buffering. ended up having the game buffering on the big TV via the sky box, had sky sports news on the iPad and had the game on via the sky sports app on my phone - all three at different points of the game! saw Paal's winning penalty first on the iPad on sky sports news |

well they're currently on Viagogo for circa Β£200, so the question whether it is possible to get tickets to the games is Yes. whether the price drops closer to the game or whether there are cheaper alternatives i'm not sure |

Proper English player, but a f*cking terrible manager. |
| Forum Reply | Next England Manager at 11:43 16 Jul 2024
The manage of the English National Football team has to be English. It's one of the few footballing hills i'm willing to die on. The whole point of international football is that it's the best of us vs the best of you, the moment we start hiring Pep/Klopp/Mourinho, it loses it's partisanship, which is the whole point. if the best English manager is Eddie Howe / Graham Potter / Sam Allardyce, then that's who we have to appoint... |

whilst we're reminiscing about Chris (he's very much alive and not dead btw...) Norwich away a season or two ago, Chris had to get the megabus as there were engineering works on the train line (Clive sent us via Peterborough, he's not getting on a bus...) Chris was probably the drunkest man i've ever seen in my entire life. At about 1pm. Was standing upright not by any conscious motor skills, but because I genuinely think he was so drunk he clean forgot to fall over. Absolute Hero. |

amazing sprint in and of itself - decided early that he didn't need to stay on the shoulders of Phillipsen, so broke left on his own and powered away with a good 500m to go. phenomenal sprint with some of the sprinters close to 20 years younger than him... |

i'm obviously in absolutely no way equating the two, But i watched Messi at Camp Nou about 5 years ago, and he was absolutely incredible at knowing where to be and when to move. He basically stood still for large parts of the game, but every movement he made was a decisive impactful one - absolutely no wasted energy at all |

This was the framwork that I (Andy) worked towards: is it possible to have A's and B's in a team that just managed to steer clear of relegation? IMO, yes, because im ranking them how they performed relative to expectations and the others in the team - not against the division as a whole - Victor Johansson would get an A every year for Rotherham, and he's conceded 90 goals this year basic gradings: A - exceptional performance, way above expectation B - above average performance - one of the best players in the team C - a 'par' performance - what you'd expect, steady - sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit D - below average performance. possibly injured for parts, frequently underwhelming when does play E - Not very good at all. Our expectations for you were low, but holy f*ck. F - Taylor Richards i admit i really struggled with the central midfield Trio of Field, Colback and Hayden - couldn't justify giving Hayden a C based on only completing 90 minutes once, but thought he was better than Colback generally, who really annoyed me in the first half of the season with the bookings, so i ended up with Field B/C Hayden C and Colback D which is super harsh in retrospect. |

for what it's worth, I had Kakay as a D in my rankings (i'm the Andy in the Patreon chat) My thoughts echoed yours - my crib notes attached: "Ossie Kakay - D? Similar to Morgan Fox - he's not very good, but we're not expecting him to be anything other than the backup right back for the 45th best team in the country, and in that capacity, he's sort of ok? Never gave less than 100%, which sounds like it should be the bare minimum, but as we're well aware sometimes getting anything out of this squad is like getting blood out of a stone. rightly released this summer, but i'll give the benefit of the doubt to a trier, and academy one at that." |

Borrowdale was an odd one - he signed on loan from Coventry (i want to say during Sousa's reign?) but never played for us, and then clearly there was an obligation / option out of our hands to make the deal permanent as he then signed a long term contract in the January? and we then loaned him out all over the shop. I remember the club putting out a fairly terse one line statement at the time to the effect of 'Borrowdale has signed a 4 year contact' and that was it |
