Siriki Dembele scored a last-gasp winner for Bournemouth, who came from behind to win with two late goals at Blackpool.

Josh Bowler's superb strike gave Blackpool the lead, after striker Dominic Solanke's penalty was saved by home keeper Daniel Grimshaw.

Bournemouth equalised with four minutes remaining when Todd Cantwell's ball into the box was deflected towards Jamal Lowe, who fired home.

And in the final moments Dembele, making his full debut, picked the ball up on the right before fizzing a low shot past Grimshaw.

It cemented the Cherries' position in second place in the Championship and made it back-to-back wins since their embarrassing FA Cup defeat against non-league Boreham Wood on Sunday.

But they endured a difficult afternoon, with Solanke unable to score from the spot following Jordan Gabriel's 27th-minute foul on Jaidon Anthony.

Bowler opened the scoring 10 minutes later when he sent a shot from near the edge of the penalty area beyond keeper Mark Travers and into the top corner of the net.

Scott Parker's side pushed forward after the interval and their persistence was rewarded with Lowe's third goal of the season and Dembele's first since his recent move from Peterborough.

It was tough on Blackpool, who had won their previous three home matches. The Tangerines are 14th in the table.

Blackpool head coach Neil Critchley told BBC Radio Lancashire:

"It is a cruel game sometimes. We've taken a top team right to the wire and deserved more from the game.

"I thought it was a really good game of football and I'm so proud of the team. They didn't deserve that at the end.

"They threatened but I think we controlled most of their play relatively well for long periods of the game.

"It [Bowler's goal] was a terrific strike and it would have been fitting had that goal won the game."

Bournemouth head coach Scott Parker told BBC Radio Solent:

"I don't feel like we smashed and grabbed that at all. I thought from start to finish we were very good.

"I've got nothing but compliments for my team in terms of the way they managed the game. We were a constant threat.

"The back end of the game, where we get the two goals, is a consequence of what we've done prior to that in terms of moving the ball and stressing them constantly.

"In the end you find that good teams can grind their way out. We did everything possible and it worked. It's a massive result for us."

Slept on it, still gutted.

Still say we were the better team from 30 mins to 87 mins.

Thought they all did well, but Grimmy, Thorniley, Stewart, CJ and Bowler stood out.
