Honestly, knowing how C is not a selling chairman and how AL loves SFC i just can't see him going at any price.

If anyone has a worse hangover then I feel for you. It was the port that done it.

As for Lallana. Can't see him leaving in the Jan window. Possible in the summer after the World Cup if he gets an offer he can't refuse.

We will soon find out if we can hold on to our players, in truth we have only really been tested on a couple of occasions one being Oxlade Chamberlain, before this season no one has really wanted any of our players or at least been prepared to pay big money for them.

The Chairman might not want to sell, but as we have seen at other clubs, few are prepared as Liverpool did with Suarez and united with Rooney to stand firm and point out they have a contract

This had gone down predictably well on the mongboard. Apparently there is 'no chance' of him leaving and many claiming he won't want the move. According to some if he values his football career he won't leave. Because joining the biggest club in England, where you Have a chance of winning trophies and champions league football as well as being virtually guaranteed a place in the England squad wouldn't be valuing your football career.

Nor would the massive increase in salary interest him either, however his agent is probably well pleased with a good Christmas Eve's day work as it will enable him to try and open negotiations to increase Lallana's wages on the back of it

We know all the arguments of success, money etc, But is it not possible that AL could be just like MLT?

I hope he stays he's integral to our progress. How in the name of sanity can anyone think there's "no chance" of him leaving us for Man Utd if a firm offer is made?

It's the logic they use that baffles me. Apparently bids should start at £30m but he'll also look at Adam Johnson and Scott Sinclair as an example of why he shouldn't move. These were deluded players who have failed, Lallana is smarter than that, he'll look at them and know he'll fail so will stay. With that lack of self belief its a wonder he manages to get up in the mornings.

Looking at it from another angle, it would have been a lot easier and totally excusable for him to have left when we dropped into L1. He didn't. Now we are in the PL with Manure and NC is selling AL that CL will be possible with us in a couple of years (so i guess/assume). So what more has he got to gain now than he had when we dropped into L1? Not saying he wont go, but just does not make sense to me. I think we may see him here all his career.

Err make your mind up dell I thought ony fergie could win things at utd so why would lallana want to go there lol ? now you are saying he may want to go there and win things.

I See utd win yet again and as I've said all the way along give moyes a bit of time ( after all fergie had 4 years) and things will come good.

Poor old Moyes poor old utd

Only 1teem could issue a rallying call over an issue that he admitted he got wrong just a week or so ago!

United will still finish 3rd or 4th IMO, which is where most people had them finishing at the start of the season. Too much quality in their side especially when Rooney and RvP are both fit. Moyes has still done a very average job with them, it'll be interesting to see what he does in January, if he splurges £20M plus on Lallana I think its a bad call for them.

This is the price for our comparative success, bigger clubs sniffing round our players. We need to manage it carefully and do deals when we're ready. Losing lallana and for example Shaw, would give us problems for the rest of the season.
I agree we cant expect to hang on to every one, but hopefully we do business more on our own terms than in years gone by.

I think you'll find sir that del has been telling me how magnificent fergie, is that nobody else could do what he has done given time ,that mourniho and Wenger would never have been able to achieve the same given 30 odd years at the helm At united

I have said all the way along that moyes will be ok given time, that moneybags utd will continue to buy success like they will in January, and that they have too good a squad to fail

Yes I hinted recently that del may have been correct but it looks as if I was right all along.united will finish probably 3rd or 4th ,win the league cup and reach the latter stages of the champions league, not bad for a first season in charge, fergie had 4years to do anything there. I notice that sf73 has gone very quiet after he said that moyes is totally out of his depth and will fail miserably.

Oh bless you 1teem, you're genuinely changing your mind? And you're still banging the same olg "Fergie was given 4 years and so should Moyes" drum that is so irrelevant.

Ferguson took over a side who hadn't won much for 20 odd years. He made them into an incredible side. You bang on about their wealth, but where had that got them in the 20 years previous? Genuine question? Where? Despite being arguably the most famous side in Britain especially since the Munich disaster, they'd done nothing for many years since Busby.

Moyes took over a side that won the title by double digits last season. 11 points. The whole point, that you miss so many times, was that the sum total of the Man Utd team was never that good in the latter years of Fergie. They didn't have the players of their Man city and chelsea opponents, but still came out on top. There was always another factor; the Ferguson being a good manager factor. Some people understand that. You, on the other hand, suggested that Alan Pardew and other such managers could have done exactly the same job that Ferguson did. Moyes is currently disproving that.

So, forgive me if I take your views with a pinch of salt, sir.

But anyway; Saints won today!!

Man United want Lallana on 18:36 - Dec 26 with 1400 views1teeminants

And please forgive me if I don't take your views too seriously mate because as I have said repeatedly Ferguson was given 30 years with no opposition to his throne, he not only had money to throw around like city and Chelsea but also had probably the best academy at the time in the country, I suppose that was all down to him as well was it, I suppose only Ferguson could bring on the likes of Beckham and scholes and giggs.

We are seeing now a very ordinary manager well that's what del says ,winning games for fun at united and he hasn't been in the job that long has he ffs so in a roundabout way, anyone can do it .laugh out bloody loud.
