i can read just fine. It sounds like the sort of thing the EDL organise so I asked if it was or not. No need to be so rude moosh. So what is the point of it then? Is it to raise money for charity or just piss off the moslems?
As it says, it is not organised by any group, just a tribute to one of own murdered in a horrendous way. The following day is the beginning of the murderers trial. If you need to ask "what is the point", it is not for you. The previous walk attracted 3000 men, women and children.
I guess I struggle with the concept seeing as how I never knew him personally, so attending a memorial walk is a bit strange. Any way, well done if you feel moved to do it.
Let's just hope a load of yobs don't turn up to promote their political views. Protests are one thing, but using something like this is in appallingly bad taste. Wouldn't it have been better to have attended a low key Remembrance Day service?
It isn't a protest, its a mark of respect, but unfortunately some people prefer to call those that show their respects racists, etc. I shall be attending a remembrance service as I do every year. The walk is approximately 1.5-2 miles long.
Thanks for the information about the length if the walk. Im not sure i could do 2 miles with my toe. Would it be acceptable, you think, to cycle? It might look a bit odd, having just one bloke on a bike?

As it happens I agree with most of what the EDL say, but if you've got a bunch of lagered up/ coked up yobs singing "keep st George in my heart, e e EDL" etc then it is not a mark of respect, it is people with low iq's using his death to try to promote their political views.
So I would like to know what songs you, as an attendee, expect to hear sung?
I'm basing my opinion on the precedents I have seen before. If it was simply a remembrance march and showing of respect then that'd be fine in my book. Equally a demo against Islamist extremism would be fine in my book. However when the former is used to promote the latter it is in poor taste and it is disrespectful.
