It's initially misleading.
"In pure statistical terms, immigrants work harder than their UK counterparts. Some 71% of foreign nationals are economically active, compared with 67% of UK nationals. They are better-qualified: 38% of non UK-born people in Britain have degrees, compared with 30% of UK nationals."
Foreign nationals are economically active, OECD glossary of terms
Economically active population comprises all persons of either sex who furnish the supply of labour for the production of economic goods and services as defined by the United Nations System of National Accounts during a specified time-reference period.
So if 71% of foreign nationals are Economically active that means 29% aren't active. 1 in 3(roughly)
They also lie on the next stat saying 67% of "nationals" are economically active meaning that according to this stat and the way it's presented that 33% of the 71 million people here are unemployed that equates to 24 million people LOL
What they did by using the NATIONAL label was to compare immigrants of Working age with the entire population of the UK IE Children and pensioners (Which are about 50% of the population)'
The same misleading information is used to make the immigrants look more qualified as regarding to qualifications.
And let's not forget the slur "immigrants work harder than their UK counterparts" so what they are brainwashing us with is that we are thicker and lazier than our immigrant counter parts which when you understand the misleading wording the exact opposite is true.
The funny or not so funny thing is that the economic editor of skynews didn't spot (or we are lead to believe) something myself as a non economist spotted in two second flat.
