Dunne/Onouha are both outstanding centre-backs at this level so Hill is pretty unfortunate have both in front, both pip him for ability and seem good eggs to boot. Really would love to find a place for him in the team- on top would like to see him involved on the coaching side if poss.

Everyone fit, what's you 11? on 11:51 - Oct 9 with 1519 views | simmo | I know what you mean but Onouha is younger, more mobile, better with the ball which suits the possession based style we have decided to adopt and there are no questions RE his attitude, so he would be my 1st choice at CB. After that Hill or Dunne which for me are basically the same player except Dunne is slightly better. More experienced at a higher level and dare I say it a little quicker. I love Hill as a man and player, but this is the best 11. He can cover CB or LB so the only change I would maybe make is dropping Traore out completely and sticking Ehmer on the bench, although Traore is still only 24 so there may be hope for the guy yet...

Everyone fit, what's you 11? on 12:36 - Oct 9 with 1450 views | A40Bosh | I suppose the reality is that you never think of a defined best starting 11, because the whole point of building a successful team is that you have 17-18 guys who either start or come on when needed and are a like for like replacement for the player who is injured or comes off. So I don't differentiate between Hill, Ned and Dunne, because as it has proven already all 3 are needed as part of the team. Max Ehmer on the other hand is much less experienced so he is your second back up ad does drop down the pecking order. I also appreciate more now the fact that managers will put out a midfield combination that could differ from week to week depending on the opposition and how the scouting reports indicate they play and what are their strengths and again differ for home and away. So for me don't think 11, think 18.

Everyone fit, what's you 11? on 12:46 - Oct 9 with 1425 views | PinnerPaul | Quite correct. Whenever any manager picks the same 11, 2 matches running in the top two leagues, it always attracts comment, which shows you how rare/difficult it is. Ian Holloway always used to say you had to "budget" that 20 -25% of your squad would be unavailable at any one time.
Everyone fit, what's you 11? on 12:50 - Oct 9 with 1416 views | ElHoop | I think that we'll need to play Carroll in order to keep in with Spurs and Spurs have been worth keeping onside in the past few years. So for me it is something like this: Green Simpson Onuoha Dunne BAE Barton Carroll O'Neill Kranjcar Hoilett Austin

Everyone fit, what's you 11? on 19:50 - Oct 9 with 1232 views | DylanP | Agreed. I would definitely play a goalie. Our centerbacks are magnificent, but you need a goalie back there if only to boot the ball upfield on goal kicks.

| Dont know why we bother. .... but we do! |
