It's at least half hour off his journey (depending on where we train and ty do it could be more than that), so it's an hour less a day on the road should he wish to travel from home.

can't see why anyone would begrudge him this move. the days of a club having any sort of entitlement to a player at the end of his contract are long gone. If so, he's only cost us wages for his time here, which he's more than repaid with his performances particularly the promotion season and first season in League 1.
Good luck to him, its a short career and this is a football and family based decision which will leave him and those that he holds dear better off.

The number of tributes and well wishers, something not often seen when a player leaves us, is testimony to the respect the fans have for JK.

I think we owe a lot to JK he's been a huge part of the club through the good times and the bad. In fact I fully believe staying in January when he could have easily jumped ship is possibly the single greatest thing a single player has done for us. I dare think where we would be now if JK had left at the end of January.

I think JK choosing to stay and help the team achieve safety shows a lot about his respect towards Hill and towards Rochdale AFC as a club, he owes us nothing, but we owe a lot to him for his model professionalism and consistency in his 4 seasons here. | |
