Lee Camp? 05:01 - Jun 8 with 3346 viewsJB1982

Released by Norwich. Decent keeper, and surely much cheaper than Green.
Worth a shot to me (excuse the pun)

Not as good as Green IMO. Would make a good and popular no.2 though.

Popular?

Dont know why we bother. .... but we do!

I can't be the only one with good memories of the guy?

Lee Camp? on 08:52 - Jun 8 with 3240 viewsdaveB

he was superb for us in his other spells but he'd need to be replaced if we went up so would be a bit of a waste of money

Lee Camp? on 08:58 - Jun 8 with 3225 viewsSuffolk

I believe he would still do a reasonable job at Prem level as back up. That is presuming we return to the Prem during the remainder of his career. As for a waste of money I believe I am correct in saying that he is a free agent and I very much doubt he is on big money.

I thought he was fantastic for us. I don't think there is that much between him and Green, apart from the ridiculous wages one of them is on. Easily good enough for the Championship, and even if he isn't good enough for the Premiership it's not likley to be a problem for us is it?

Don't need him we got Murphy already as backup

Lee Camp? on 10:36 - Jun 8 with 3106 viewsQPRDave

Yeah agree, we won't shift Green on the wages he's on anyway but for me Green is better.

I forget exactly why Camp got the boot?? Was it that he parked his meat in the wrong aperture or something similar??

Lee Camp? on 10:43 - Jun 8 with 3088 viewsRANGERS4EVER

We already have Green and Murphy. Some people on here are really trying to go back to the past, we just have to move forward now

He was a decent shot stopper with us but , his kicking and distribution was as random as Cesar

Lee Camp? on 10:57 - Jun 8 with 3064 viewsbosh67

Fair point, but Camp is about £90K a week cheaper!

Never knowingly right.

A thoughtful article about Lee Camp by a Forest fan.

Things turned sour for Camp at Forest when Billy Davies left and Camp was denied a move to Swansea.

We need three decent keepers. Assuming that Cesar is on his way that leaves
1. Green
2. Murphy
3. ?Elvis?
I have seen little of Murphy and even less of Putnins. Are they good enough for the Championship?

that was the made up rumour on fantasy island, the truth was that Flavio thought he was crap

Lee Camp? on 12:34 - Jun 8 with 2940 viewsGloucs_R

I heard that Camp was outspoken and Flavio didnt like it. It was around the time Blackstock was shipped out I think.

I liked him. A scarecrow would have saved more than green and cesar last season.

I would be happy for us to sign him

Lee Camp? on 17:48 - Jun 8 with 2705 viewsJB1982

Agreed we have to move forward. But not sure the club can move forward if we keep players (like Green) on massive wages whist we're in the Championship..

Just a little out of date. Elvijs was release 2 years ago and has managed to claw his way back up to Conference level.

The 2 youth keepers are Lennox and Lumley. The latter never makes spectacular saves. Because his positioning, from what I've seen, is always top drawer.

Would rather have 40 year old(fee agent) Mark Schwarzer than Camp. And then as goalkeeping coach.

Poll: So how was the season for you?

0

Lee Camp? on 21:21 - Jun 8 with 2581 viewsPinnerR

Well said. Shwarzer, only 40 (young for a keeper) as 3rd/coach like Cerny was.
Green and Murphy as 1 &2 .
Seems perfect to me.

Camp will get a club somewhere in the league.

Only if they'd have had their goalkeeping head on.
