You know, where the A4 runs under the flyover into Chiswick roundabout from South Ealing. I used to live the other side of Gunnersbury Park 20 years ago and he was there then, and he's still there now. Does anyone know anything about him? She lived in a Mk1 Ford Consul in Prebend Gardens back of Stamford Brook station. She must have lived there best part of 30 years. Her 'neighbours' used to make sure she was ok. Drove through that road recently and the cars not there now. | | | |

The old lady in Prebend Gardens was moved on by the council because of health and safety reasons. My mate used to live in the road and she was tolerated by the residents. She would come to chiswick house in the 80's and 90's on a Sunday and score the match. She was pretty accurate but would often clap your fifty early. Every year she donated stamps to our club Turnham Green. Very nice to me but anyone who rode a bike anywhere near her would get a right earful.
I saw her a few months ago so she is still around. Rumour was that she was moneyed at some pint but had a break down.
Pretty sure that us not chicken George. He used to live there 25 years ago and was an old West Indian. Bit of a legend in my teenage years. | | | |
