"99 league victories that now..." Satisfied with the result. Thought we were solid other than the mistake SCS made early doors.

Glad we got the clean sheet. "Match winning save from Josh. 2 clean sheets from 4 that ratio will help us be suscessful"

"massive difference from being awarded a man of the match and putting in a man of the match performance, today was the later from Rhys."

"Alot of psychological encouragement with us adding players, competition for places. If we have the right players with the right attitude we will be sucessful, thats what we are trying to create... dont want to give much of the plan away because I've got a board meeting on monday"

"I'm enjoying it, I'm enjoying my home life, I'm back in football, I've had a massive learning curve. I must admit I miss the championship football but I dont doubt that I'll be back there, hopefully we can do that with Rochdale"

"we can be better, we've got to be better. Lets just get to the finish line then we can really start building for the future."

I can't help grinning like a Cheshire cat when reading stuff like that. It makes such a difference having someone in charge who you can trust to do the right thing.

Funnily enough, reading Blackwell's interviews bring a similar effect but for slightly different reasons.

Brilliant stuff from Hilly!!

Lets get Rhys signed on a longer deal ASAP.

Everybody forgets how young he actually is. A massive future in the game this lad and i just love his attitude.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Would love to have been a 'fly on the wall' at the board meeting last night. Does anyone sense another '7-year plan' unfolding ?

All aboard for another roller-coaster ride..............

Anyone who has spoken to the current chairman will know that Hill always liked to push the board to the absolute edge when it came to financial support for his plans.

If anything, Hill's leverage will now be even stronger given the board have seen what life without him is like. They know full well what can be achieved if you give him the backing he requires.

It would have been an interesting meeting indeed!

I hope we don't see or hear anything remotely to do with another "7 year plan"

The last one became a hostage to fortune, so why do the same again?

By all means, develop plans and medium/long-term strategies but don't create an unnecessary noose round your (or the boards) neck by time-framing it!!

Had the town got behind our team and we could get that core support that the likes of Shrewsbury,Chesterfield get when they are top of the league then I'm sure the plan would have worked - alas core support of 3000 when we are doing well and not 5-6000 will always mean we will struggle to keep hold of our best players in order to make any plans of progression.

Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10

Agree to an extent D Alien,

we are quite often on a similar page.

Any good 7 year plan though would be reviewed and amended yearly so would become an erm - 7 year plan again.

seriously though i think 7 years is about right, it took Hilly 5 last time but the improvement both on and off the field was measurable and that reflected in attendance and the feel good factor.

i cant wait for season 19/20!!!

Di Canio had a three-year plan at Swindon. If only it wasn't built on Monopoly money.
