well this is awful , mind you i went to take my son in there one day thought i might get some lunch and a drink , but to my horror i wasn't allowed in as it was a members only club that you had to pay a yearly fee to use , cant remember how much now , but the fella on the door was kind enough to tell me at the time , he also said that because the membership was full it mean't it wouldnt be fair to let us in as there was a maximum amount that could go in at any one time , health and safety i think, and meant if we were allowed in that would exceed safty no's , if all members although unlikely attended , but he say although membership was full for that season , i could apply for the next , mind you if i was an ex player from 30 odd years ago who no-one under the age say 45 would reconize i would expect to be treated differently , i blame cortese !!!!!! | | | |

Thats a fair comment about it being a members bar, however i cant think of a supporters club in the country that would refuse entry to a member of one of their FA Cup winning team, I doubt that our Chairman had anything to do with this, so shouldnt be a story to lambast him over, more a jobsworth, the sad bit seems to be that no one in there stuck up for him and demanded that he be allowed to stay.
They used to say that those from the team of 1976 would never have to be short of someone to buy them a drink for what they did, now it seems they cant get a drink at the club even.
