Feel sorry that it didn't work out for him, but on the other hand had he stayed with us I believe we wouldn't have suffered relegation and he could have taken us forward to be a solid League 1 club.

Can't understand why anyone would be happy. Of course some of us have been proved right when we said Barnsley were the wrong club to move a career forward, but there's no doubt in my mind that the problem was he simply didn't have the funds to compete. It wasn't really the long term move though. If someone didn't come in for them during their Barnsley stint it was always going to end like this because Barnsley's relegation is inevitable, you cannot compete in that league on beans. Hard to see where they pick up now. I'm sure they will be, but it took Mark Robbins a while after he buggered off from Barnsley. | | | |
