He's gone! on 11:50 - Nov 23 with 1770 views | calHoop | Everyone keeps talking about timing, but surely we had to agree the deal with Redknapp first. Now it's done, he's gone. Also TF has been out of the country, perhaps he wanted to do it properly, face to face, rather than ordering one of his flunkeys to do it from his lair, the way a certain owner does it down the road.

He's gone! on 11:54 - Nov 23 with 1751 views | TGRRRSSS | The others should have gone too and given Birch and whoever the role even if for the one game. They know they'll be leaving soon anyway so why delay even for the sake of the game tomorrow.
He's gone! on 11:54 - Nov 23 with 1749 views | headhoops | Heard the news and felt a ray of optimism which speaks volumes. Hurry up arry, c'mon hurry up arry, cmon were going up the league c'mon etc He had to go, don't care about the timing as the players obviously wanted him out and now need to show they can play.

He's gone! on 11:56 - Nov 23 with 1722 views | adhoc_qpr | "Hughes has been walking a tightrope since QPR lost at Arsenal on October 27. Fernandes was set to sack him then but had a change of heart and has tried to support him." Interesting snippet from the Daily Mail article, if true TF should have gone with his instincts and we might have been in much better shape now!

He's gone! on 11:57 - Nov 23 with 1722 views | Jamie | @davidmcintyre76 I also believe appointment of Redknapp at Rangers may open door for Paladini and/or his little elves. Watch this space as they say.

He's gone! on 12:00 - Nov 23 with 1688 views | themodfather | at last....chelsea show "stability" by 9 men in 9 yrs..with numerous cups inbetween. now we can focus on the team and the new man and chanting his name!
He's gone! on 12:00 - Nov 23 with 1685 views | Hunterhoop | Oh Christ. Not again. Getting rid of Paladini was like getting rid of cancer. Please let us not have a relapse.
He's gone! on 12:00 - Nov 23 with 1685 views | TGRRRSSS | jesus why am I not surprised, will he ever get his tentacles out of our club???
He's gone! on 12:01 - Nov 23 with 1681 views | PinnerPaul | That is completely non sensical. Paladini and FB couldn't afford us. It was Bernie who had the money and he's clearly gone off football, if he was ever on!
He's gone! on 12:02 - Nov 23 with 1674 views | Jamie | Paladini is mates with Redknapp. He wont buy in, he'll have a cushy job lined up - no doubt DOF.
He's gone! on 12:03 - Nov 23 with 1660 views | QPRBrian | It had to happen and I think given our boards overall expectations and strategy, Redknapp is the only option out there. They want us to stay up for all the obvious reasons and are prepared to take the financial gamble with Redknapp to keep us up. There are 26 games left and the last time i looked through my fingers we were only 5 points from safety. Not beyond salvation. All the fear on here about mass spending on players in January...............people do realise we can sell/ loan out players too right! Come January Redknapp will of worked out who's worth keeping and who's taking the pss and elbow the leeches to create room for his choices. Yeah, we may lose a bit on fees and have to pay towards some wages but not a complete financial nightmare. Think, if he gets rid of the worse four ( SWP, Boswinga, Ferdinand and Green-badly treated but £50k p/w?!) and brings in four replacements our net loss won't be suicidal and our chances of staying up will be vastly improved.
He's gone! on 12:06 - Nov 23 with 1642 views | Jamie | â€@davidmcintyre76 for what it's worth (ie nothing) I believe Rangers could get Martinez if they wanted him. Although clearly we dont want a proper interview process.
He's gone! on 12:06 - Nov 23 with 1641 views | welwynhoop | I heard that he could not be sacked until TF was back in the country and able to join the meetings. That is why it has taken a few days.
He's gone! on 12:10 - Nov 23 with 1616 views | SomersetHoops | For me every minute he stayed was time wasted after the Southampton game. For me he should have gone after only getting a draw against Reading. I just hope now Harry can instil some sprit into them.

He's gone! on 12:11 - Nov 23 with 1613 views | Doomed | Forget Redknapp, we can't get out of the situation we are in, we will end up with a bigger squad and more debt in the Championship, could end up like Portsmouth. Lets go for a younger manager KENNY JACKETT! I warn you if we have RedKnapp we are doomed for years to come:(

He's gone! on 12:27 - Nov 23 with 1549 views | WestbourneR | Doomed I get your instinct if for a younger manager but Kenny Jackett is not even hot property in the Championsip. I take it you've seen Millwall play and you saw Redknapp's Spurs play?

He's gone! on 12:29 - Nov 23 with 1535 views | Alvarado | Can't believe we could attract Martinez but if we could, yes please. I don't want Redknapp. He got spurs playing really well but his approach doesn't seem to be very professional (to say the least) as his wheeler-dealing and recent court case revealed. And apart from anything else he will want money to burn. I don't agree it's not a financial disaster. I think that potentially, it very much is. We won't get anything for the players who aren't interested unless they get interested pretty quickly. And the worse case scenario is that these players remain unplayable and we still have to have them on the books. We have a lot of well established players on silly money but who don't (or shouldn't) play, either through injury (Johnson, Zamora) or attitude (Bosingwa) or a combination of things (Ferdinand, Green, Park, Barton, SWP). And some of the rest still have question marks (Cisse, Traore, Mbia). By January I'm guessing half of these will still not be playing (or playing effectively) and will not be saleable, the worst of them we won't even be able to move on a free. We cannot just go out and buy another 4-5 players on £60k/week unless we can get rid of the first lot. It's financial suicide if we are relegated. And the last time I looked there was a reasonable chance of that.

Does it f&%k So Martinez turned down Villa & Liverpool in the last two summers - but would've come to Rangers in our current predicament? Yeah right Just stop stirring DMc
