Joey Barton 16:20 - May 13 with 3461 viewsSuddenLad

If he is ever allowed to play a game of professional football in this country again, it will be a scandal. He is mentally deranged and needs serious help. Other players need to be protected from him.

I didn't see anything wrong for the actual red card, but obviously we didn't have the advantage of zoomed-in view. There was a clear slap by Tevez on Barton just before.

The kick on Nasri though was just embarrassing.

So funny he stubbed his cigar out in the eye of one of the youth team players at City, it was at the clubs xmas party.
Horrible individual and anyone who looks up to people like him need to ask themselves a few questions.

I feel it is something in the family.

No doubt he will be quoting Morrisey/The Smiths later

He is a prize tool of the highest order - Shame he got led off the pitch - I could have seen him get at least 5 red cards and maybe a season bad.

Mario - Loony as he is is likeable - Does crazy stuff but at least he seems to be a nice (mentally disturbed) bloke - walks into schools to coach, buys rounds in pubs etc.

Barton is just scum and I see him playing for HMFC in next 5 years

I reckon this is one of those times where it's gone beyond any excuses of "frustration" or "tortured genius" or whatever. If he doesn't end up with a minimum of a ten-game domestic ban, I think the FA need to seriously look at the message they are sending to young players starting out in this sport.

The fact that the reaction from Tevez was a joke, while deplorable, doesn't detract from the fact that Joey Barton is a massive, massive tool who seems determined to destroy his career. I think perhaps the FA should be looking to end his career for him before he does it to another player.

Incidentally he posted on Twitter a couple of times that he tried to "take one of their players with me" which I think should be enough evidence for an assault charge for the stamp on Aguero.

The cock end claims the take one of their players with you was suggested to him by a team mate.

Not only is he a brain-dead thug, he's also a lying coward.

Poll: What is it to be then?

Joey Barton on 09:39 - May 14 with 1997 viewsCedar_Room

it's one thing to kick out at a player in a moment of high emotion and tension (although not necessarily forgivable, at least someway understandable) but to say you did it in a deliberate attempt to start a melee and get one of their players sent off too is disgraceful. The very definiton of unsportsmanlike behaviour. I hope we never see him play again.

Am I the only one who would've loved to see Tevez and Barton have a real set to, and then for Balotelli to break free of his minders and for him and Barton to have another full-blown scrap - resulting in lifetime bans for all three from the English game?

Anybody think that Barton as an attitude to foreign players in the prem?..
I think so..

I'd say it's more that some of the foreign players know the tricks required to wind someone like Barton up, and he falls for it every time.

There's also the fact that the overwhelming majority of players seem to be from foreign shores anyway, so the chances are, whoever Barton decides to target is unlikely to be a 'local lad'.

barton is a violent thug on and off the pitch

it isn't all just heat of the moment. his attacks on shearer and lineker via twitter were pretty calculated thought out responses

he's a nasty piece of work and any club willing to hire him should be ashamed

Poll: Would you have Keith Hill back?
